Albert’s Passing - My son, Albert Coffee, passed away on March 2, 2025.He was passionate about the Maya and especially this site. His enthusiasm and respect for the history and culture was unmatched. Over the past 15 years, he brought some 30,000 people to the pyramid, silently giving thanks to the spirits and ancestors of the canyon every time he entered the site. I will miss him terribly but I trust he’s soaring with the eagles and is watching over the site he so loved. S Coffee

Not to be missed - What a treat touring with a passionate archeologist who knows the site intimately and cares about it deeply. Albert has spent decades studying the history, people and cultures and geography of this part of the world.

Beautiful and Educational, be prepared for heavy incline walking - We really enjoyed learning the history of the pyramid, asking the guide all about the site and San Miguel. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, but not an archeologist. The drive is easy, but you do at least 30minutes of extreme incline walking over cobblestone trails at high altitude. If you’re looking to get out of town and do a little exercise while learning stuff this is an excellent choice.

Took our reservation knowing guide was ill and had missed previous tours - Sadly, Albert Coffee, the well-loved guide for this tour was hospitalized for weeks and then passed away. But neither Trip Advisor or Viator informed us that the tour was cancelled, not before or after!

Be wary - After booking the tour, I was contacted by someone named "Eric" via Whatsapp to inform me that the tour guide had passed away "last week" but that they had an equally great your guide who would be able to substitute for him. I was wary but agreed to the substitute. Then Eric told me that he would have to cancel my tour and I would have to pay him directly via Zelle or PayPal. We went back and forth a bit because this seemed shady to me but I ultimately decided to risk it and agreed. I paid him via Zelle and everything seemed fine. Then, the night before, both my wife and myself came down with food poisoning and I immediately messaged Eric to see if I could reschedule. I didn't even ask for a refund, just a rescheduling for later in the week. I know on their cancellation policy, they offer a refund outside of 24 hours for cancellation but I thought I had been pretty understanding and maybe they could give us a little bit of leeway back. I have not received a single response from them, despite several WhatsApp messages. I am not a very entitled or picky traveler, but would have expected at least a "Sorry, we can't do that " I would be very wary about booking through this company, as I feel like I was scammed.
