• Taeng River - Our journey begins with a brief 15-minute journey from our river base to the “Sop Kai” settlement. Following a comprehensive safety orientation, we embark on our quest, tackling the initial 3 kilometers of thrilling Class III rapids set against a backdrop of verdant jungle and breathtaking vistas. The river’s upper stretch is enchanting, offering a series of enjoyable rapids as a prelude to the main Class IV segment. This is where the excitement truly escalates, with everyone gearing up for the challenge downstream.

Guides coordinate with one another, signaling the start as each raft plunges into the inaugural Class IV rapid. This segment is a continuous thrill ride. Heed your guide’s instructions as you navigate a succession of exhilarating Class IV rapids. At the segment’s conclusion, a collective paddle high five is shared in celebration of conquering northern Thailand’s most thrilling rapids. Yet, the adventure isn’t over. More Class III rapids await, along with a picturesque drift back to the 8Adventure base. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants as you meander through this stunningly scenic portion of the river.

• Children between the ages of 7 and 14 are welcome to accompany their parents on the raft, but we ask that they skip the 2km stretch of class IV rapids as they can be to dangerous for small children
• Please remember a change of clothes as you will get wet. A swimming suit (quick-drying shorts to wear over a swimsuit is recommended for comfort and cultural sensitivity), athletic shoes, sunscreen, refillable water bottle, small day pack, dry set of clothes, socks, and dry shoes or sandals
• Please bring a photo or photocopy of your passport for registration. Bring a dry change of clothes for your ride home
• This is a joint tour, the operator will be picking up each guest in order, so please kindly wait patiently at your hotel. If waiting for too long, please contact the operator immediately
• In any case, if your booking isn’t matched with reality when you show upfront (such as child’s age, child’s height, the number of people and etc), you are responsible to pay the additional charge upfront for the tour
• On the rare occasion that we should be required to cancel a tour, we will inform you in advance and offer a different tour date, an alternative tour or provide a full refund
