We will begin by talking about a high relief located on the cover of the Palace of Fine Arts of an important character for Mesoamerica “Xiuhtlatzin”: the only female ruler in the Toltec culture.
It should be clarified that we did NOT enter the Museum of Fine Arts.

La Güera Rodríguez: A woman of extraordinary beauty who belongs to the Creole ethnicity, she took part in the conspiracy of the war of independence. Visit the Temple of the Profesa and see her house which has now been transformed into the Estanquillo Museum.

Esperanza Iris: She was renowned as the ‘Queen of Operetta’ in the 1900s. Discover her works at the Esperanza Iris Theater.

Malintzi: A gifted linguist. She acted as the translator for Hernán Cortes. Explore the Zócalo and main temple.

Leona Vicario: A strong woman who played a pivotal role in the realization of Mexican independence. Visit the Casa Leona Vicario.

Very interesting tour about the history of Mexico City. - We had a wonderful tour with Erick! He explained a lot about the history of Mexico City and gave us some good recommendations to visit and have dinner as well.
