We thoroughly enjoyed our... - We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Pablo. He arrived at our pick up location before time . He spoke to us about life in Mexico City and the history of. Our time at the pyramids was well managed and his colleague explained the history of the pyramids well. The lunch was decent, being vegetarian that was expected. Our next stop was at the Basilica where Pablo told us about the history of the same. On our request he extended the trip (outside of the schedule) to take us to the Castle in the city. On the whole we had a good time and highly recommend Pablo and his team for trips in and around Mexico city

Pablo and PATA Tours Are the Best - I know there are many options when booking a tour to the Teotihuacan Pyramids and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe—but this is the one you should choose. Pablo offers an intimate, knowledgeable, and comfortable experience. He partners with Monserrat, who provides a deep and engaging tour of the Teotihuacan Pyramids, and then he leads the second half of the day with a thoughtful visit to the Basilica.
What set this tour apart was how personalized it felt. My wife and I were able to focus on what we most wanted to see and learn. For me, it was a mix of history, culture, and spirituality—and PATA Tours delivered on all three fronts.
Our day began at 8 AM when Pablo picked us up directly from our hotel. During the 40-minute drive out of Mexico City (fortunately, traffic was light), he gave us a concise but rich overview of Mexican history, answering every question we had and pointing out key landmarks as we passed through the city.
At Teotihuacan, we met Monserrat, who guided us through the ancient site. She was extraordinary—like attending a master class in archaeology and history. She explained who built the pyramids, when and why, and how the site evolved over centuries. She even shared the latest academic theories about the site’s origins and purpose, using visual aids to help us imagine what it once looked like. He storytelling was so engaging that we were fully drawn in, always curious to hear more.
After the pyramids, we stopped for a brief pulque tasting and some shopping, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. We had a delicious molcajete—a stone bowl filled with grilled chicken, pork, beef, sausage, cactus, fresh tomato, lettuce, and avocado, all served with warm tortillas. It was one of the best meals we had in Mexico.
In the afternoon, we visited the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Although I’m a non-practicing Catholic, this stop felt like a personal pilgrimage. Pablo guided us through the three churches that have housed the image of Our Lady since the 1500s. His tour was respectful, fact-based, and rich with context—allowing us to reflect and interpret the experience on our own terms. Seeing the image of Our Lady in person was genuinely moving—an experience I’ll never forget.
On our return to the city, we chatted about everything from food and shopping recommendations to Pablo’s personal story and how he started his business. By the end of the day, it felt less like a tour and more like spending time with a knowledgeable friend.
Pablo and PATA Tours are simply among the best.

Visit to Mexico City - Pablo was amazing. He was right on time and had the perfect guide who took us through the pyramids and was super knowledgeable about the history. When we got to the basilica, he walked us through each church and chapel telling us all about the mystery of Our Lady of Guadeloupe and even stayed for us to attend mass there.
I highly recommend him and his company if you’re interested in a great day trip.

Excellent tour of Teotihuacan with Pablo. - We had a fantastic tour with Pablo. He is so kind, knowledgeable, and even got us into La Gruta (super popular restaurant) without a reservation. Would highly recommend.

A wonderful tour! Highly recommended - What a great experience! Our guide Isaias picked us up at our hotel right on time and expertly navigated through the Mexico City traffic to Teotihuacan, an artisan market, lunch, and The Basilica of Santa María de Guadalupe. He speaks English perfectly and his passion and knowledge about Mexican history and the sites we visited is truly impressive. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer -- and we had a lot given how amazing Teotihuacan and the Basilica are. He has a personal connection with the sites and that came through in our conversations. And beyond the pre-Colombian history and Spanish colonization, he has educated insights into Mexican contemporary culture and society. This tour was the highlight of our trip -- we would recommend this tour 100%.

Great Guides, Sites, and Conversation! - Pablo is an excellent tour guide! He met us at our hotel, drove us to all the locations, and included lots of information (and humor) throughout the day. Pablo's car had plenty of room, cold AC, and was very comfortable. He even had plenty of cold bottled water on hand during the day.
He didn't mind all of our questions and gave us recommendations on other things to do in the area after the tour. Do yourself a favor and book this tour early in your trip, it was one for the highlights for us during our visit to CDMX. Monserate was our guide while at Teotihuacán and she was also fantastic! Very knowledgeable and friendly. We also really enjoyed our time at Basílica de Guadalupe after seeing the pyramids.
We stopped at a cafe (on your own) and the food was excellent and beer was cold.
Pablo, we look forward to seeing you again for another tour when we return. Thanks for a wonderful day!
