Great Tour and Meal! - An amazing history, archeology and cultural lesson. Pick-up on time in CDMX by Angeles. She drove us to Teotihuacan where we met my guide, George. Although my first language is English, we used Spanish most of the day, (my choice). The others in my group were not able to make it, so I luckef into a provate tour. George's knowledge of Teotihuacan is extraordinary. First, we visited the pyramids and sites close by. Next we continued the tour, visiting outlying temples and habitations of priests, warriors and the upper class. He had a day pack full of resouces: books, photos of the site before restoration, renderings of the site in it's zenith. Even a record of the migration of the Aztecs to Teotihuacan in glyphs! At every stop he explained the art, the murals and the significance of the location. George is from San Martin, a small city next to the site. His grandmother farmed on the site, prior to the government purchase. He knows the area and is at home with any questions. Finally, he asked me if I wanted to see a special place: El Observatorio. We descended through lava tubes until a circle of light appeared. Incredible: In the middle there was a live snake. He said I was very lucky! Quetzacoatl!! Then we skipped the normal buffet at my choice a met Angeles and another of their team for a great meal of Tacos de aguacates and ciles, conejo frito, (fried rabbit), consume of verduras and a great dessert of sugar cured cactus buds, (tuna). This is by far the longest review I have ever given. I was made to feel like a friend, so it is just to return the favor. The enthusiasm of the Teotihuacan en Bici crew is unmatched in my experience. Thank you!

Our guide Luis was EXTREMELY... -
Our guide Luis was EXTREMELY knowledgable about the history of the site and the cultural influences surrounding it. He is a treasure! The food portion of this tour could be a little more robust and adventurous, while it was good and had a surprise or twoant egg tacos!this felt more like a tacked-on meal requirement for the daylong excursion.
