• La Orocoveña Bakery - This is a convenient stop for a bathroom break before starting the hike. It’s also a great opportunity to try a local pastry, known for being fresh and delicious. The “Quesito” is highly recommended.
• Cerro Mime - The guide will meet participants at 1374 Ashford Ave, and from there, the journey will lead into the heart of Puerto Rico, to the quaint town of Orocovis. This area is authentic and off the beaten path, rarely visited by tourists. The drive follows the Panoramic Route of Puerto Rico, offering some of the island’s most stunning views. The hike requires good fitness as it is short but very strenuous, taking about 40-60 minutes to reach the summit. Although brief, it is intense and constantly under the hot sun. The reward is breathtaking views at the summit. Cerro Mime is a magical spot in the island’s center, offering a unique experience.
• Río Toro Negro - After the hike, the journey continues deeper into the island to Ciales, a short yet scenic drive. Here, visitors will find a local favorite: Rio Puente del Cacao, a bridge leading to the beautiful Toro Negro River. From the bridge, one can jump into the river or take homemade steps crafted by locals. This adventure is distinct and unlike any other currently available. It is arguably the most fantastic tour or experience on the island.
