Brandon was an excellent... - Brandon was an excellent tour guide. He was friendly, drove us around safely, and made sure we stayed safe on the waterfalls. It was a great deal to see some of the rainforest, getting to play in the water, see the beach & try some PR street food.

Get the ride and the guide - so worth it! - Since we didn't rent a car, having them pick us up was a huge bonus - the communication on that was pretty good, and they dropped us back off at our lodging. Eric was our guide and has SO MUCH Energy - I enjoyed hearing his story and information about the island - I think the others in the group did too. Which BTW there were only 8 (a nice manageable size). While I was a little nervous about doing a tour with others, this reminded me that people are in general lovely, fun, and a pleasure to meet. Eric was provided clear instructions, and examples, took us into the forest where we had such a good time. We were allowed to do the slides as many times as we wanted, or hang out in the wonderful mountain water. He made sure everyone was having a good time. We went onto another location - the hike was muddy but we were prepared and didn't mind. It was worth it as this second pool had a very different slide, fund to swim around in, and a great jumping rock. There were other groups there as well. I figured this would happen and was worried, but again it was fun to see locals with their families enjoying the time, and everyone helping everyone. After we left the falls, we went to Luquillo where we finally found tshirts we liked as well as good food and drinks cheap. This tour was well worth the money - having just come off of a snorkle tour that we felt was a scam, this trip redeemed the value of having a guide. Again, a shout out to Eric and our tour comrades who made this so enjoyable.

Hiking trip in the... - Hiking trip in the rainforest was short. Went down two water slides. The trip to luquillo Beach was nice with lots of variety of food which was the best part of the excursion. The van that transported us to and from the excursion had bugs which crawled into our personal belongings. Was not happy about that. The tour guides were nice.

Rent a car and go on your own or find a tour guide from the island ! - The activity itself was fun but not worth the price listed. You are better off driving on your own OR finding local tour guides who know the island truly. The drive to the forest was spent hearing about Nick’s upbringing in MN & as a social worker it felt like a beg for tips for someone who is contributing to gentrification of the island. The entire experience felt rushed and disappointing. Our tour guide was Nick, a backpacker from the states who was a little rude towards me when I misheard or misunderstood something (which is sad because he is deaf from one ear & I have hearing struggles as well but was not met with the same compassion I showed him). I wouldn’t have minded it if the experience was worth it, but once we arrived to the slides he was in a competition with other tour groups to get in and out. Once I noticed this, I decided to sit out on the second slide just to take in the views. We didn’t get much time to enjoy the water in the rain forest itself & the entire trip back from Luquillo beach he was on his phone & not focusing on the road. This was my 5th time visiting the rain Forrest and this was the absolute worst experience.
