Highlights
  • Cueva del Indio - Get ready for the most unique experience in your life! First we meet up in Condado. From there you ride with us. The drive is about an hour and takes us to the heart of Arecibo. Arecibo is one of the cities with the richest historical legacies in all of Puerto Rico. The drive itself is very beautiful, but our first destination is absolutely breathtaking. When we get there we will do a short hike (wear good sneakers) to the mouth of the cave! Keep your cameras handy because the views are out of this world. The cave of the Taino Indian is a small cave system that is a historical and archeological wonderland! This cave is literally covered in Taino stone carvings. It is breathtaking and the scenery even more so! After we exit the cave, we make our way to the 7 arches to take in the amazing views. After another short hike back to the car, we head out to a beautiful beach in Arecibo as well. This tour will give you a taste of the Caribbean lifestyle/history/culture.

Additional Information

This day trip is guaranteed to make your stay in the island unforgettable. This tour has adrenaline and adventure, history and archeology, beautiful scenery and beaches. The drive to Arecibo is About an hour and it is beautiful from start to finish. We arrive and begin our hike to the cave of the Taino. Bring good shoes as the hike is quite rocky. The entrance to the cave is not for claustrophobic people. it is bit challenging but with our careful instructions you will be able to get inside (barring any physical conditions that hinder you). The cave is other worldly. You get transported to the past as you see the over 100 carvings in the stone that are hundreds, maybe thousands, of years old. After we exit the cave we will hike through the famous 7 arches of Arecibo. The arches are natural rock formations which can be appreciated in pictures, but only in person will you realize how beautiful it all really is. Last we visit a non-touristy beach that is amazing!

Great Experience! - Airam our tour guide did a great job! He was helpful and friendly. He had refreshments and snacks. He did a great job on the tour and was patient with us up the rugged terrain! It turned out to be a small group of 3 so that was good. He was personable and knowledgeable of the area! Was a great day we enjoyed it all! Congrats again Airam on your son soon to be here!!

Excellent experience for solo traveler-breathtaking views and gorgeous beaches - As a female solo traveler, while I wish to explore as many places as possible during my trip, I am also cautious. With this said, I first found the tour through the site, GetYourGuide. The meeting place, Crush Juice Bar, was about a mile away from my hostel. It was also accessible by bus and Uber. We were a very small group of 4, including Sarah, our tour guide. The slight rain made me worry a bit, but the skies did clear during our drive and we were greeted by breathtaking views. The hike was light to moderate. Sarah was very attentive and reminded us to watch out for holes, cactus, etc... I was hesitant to go through the cave at first, but Sarah, was very assuring and the couple I was with were encouraging as well. Being petite in size, they helped me get up the cave's entrance and descend as well. I am glad I did go in the cave! The food from the kiosks on the way to La Playa Poza were delicious. I got empanadas (mahi-mahi, octopus), land crab filled alcapurrias, piña colada all for just $15. The beach was gorgeous. All in all, this was an excellent experience for me. Sarah was friendly, attentive, and felt the whole experience felt like an outing with friends.

Awesome tour with an awesome tour guide - Tour guide was friendly and made the trip lots of fun. Also made sure when entering exploring and exiting the cave that instructions were clear and easy to follow. Felt safe entire trip and ending with the beach/food was the perfect way to end after cave exploring.

Hands down best excursion on the island! - Hands down the best excursion on the island! John & Juan were incredible! Their expert knowledge of how to navigate this tricky terrain was unparalleled-which I was beyond grateful for b/c I was a little nervous about the tight quarters of the entrance (but they had us 1000%). They escorted us to a true Puerto Rican eatery & helped us order the most delicious food. We ended our trip at the beach where they had Sangria & treats! It truly was an incredible experience. This is my 2nd trip w/this company (2 years ago -did the caves & waterfalls) and will only book w/them! ❤️

Very cool experience! - When the other people in the tour cancelled, our guide, Jean, still came and got me and my friend in his own personal vehicle! He was a super nice, enthusiastic guy who treated us ladies so great! We got to the area where we enter the cave and he was very careful to help with the exact steps we needed to take. I want everyone to know that this is not an easy climb, nor entrance into the cave. Wear good shoes with a grip, wear sunscreen. Our guide had water for us. After the cave experience, he took us to the beautiful beach area for swimming and had snacks and beverages for us. He even took us on a little side trip to see a little of the rainforest, since it was just the two of us! I would recommend this excursion, especially if you get Jean as your guide! We had a blast!
