The guide was very... - The guide was very knowledgeable about local culture and the coffee making process! The local chocolate and textile factories were also amazing, with very knowledgeable guides at both. Very nice way to get to know San Juan!

10/10 Recommend! - We booked this tour last minute and so far it’s been the highlight of our trip! Vick was an amazing guide both in English and in Spanish. He is a wealth of knowledge regarding the entirety of the coffee from inception to consumption. It’s also essentially 3 experiences in one as we got a cacao lesson and a traditional Guatemalan textile lesson. Perfect way to spend 2-3 hours while you’re here. NOTE: we recommend going in the morning as it tends to get rainy/stormy in the early afternoon.

Amazing private tour through coffee plantations - The tour has been amazing. We thought it was going to be a group tour but it was just the two of us with the guide, Ervin, a private tour! He took us around San Juan with a TukTuk to let us enjoy and understand the whole process of the coffee plantations from bean to the drink. Everything was together with history notions and a very local vibe. We concluded the coffee tour drinking an amazing espresso at the San Juan cafe. He also took us to visit a textile cooperative that we asked him and the tour ended in front of the central church.

Superb value, three experiences in one - Vick was a fantastic tour guide. We were lucky enough to have a private tour through the coffee parcels where we learned the history of arábica coffee from its roots in Africa, to its introduction in Guatemala, to the permaculture methods used today. He was incredibly informative, giving us a deeper respect for my favorite beverage. We also enjoyed learning about cacao and weaving. My wife bought a couple of pieces made by local artisans as well. I bought more chocolate than I should have! 😆

Best Coffee Tour in Atitlán - We did the coffee tour with Vik and really enjoyed it. Vik is a really nice guy and we would have done another hiking tour with him. Unfortunately we didn't have more time to stay. We totally recommend it!

Coffee Tour plus much more! - This tour was exceptional. We spent the morning walking with Vick on a local coffee farm while he described the growth and harvesting process of the coffee plants. We then made our way back into town and received a demonstration from local women about Mayan bees which are crucial to the pollination of the plants. Then we walked by the Catholic Church and he explained the combining of Maya and Catholic religions. We went to the cafe to try some coffee and see the drying and grinding process. We went to the cacao/chocolate presentation and Vick helped us find our Mayan Nawal. We basically got to create our own tour with Vick and it was much more extensive than just coffee. San Juan is beautiful and we so enjoyed learning about the community and culture from a local. Thank you Vick!!

Experience Worth While - Vick communicates very well in English; he's full of a wealth of information about coffee, providing an unforgettable hands on experience. In addition to coffee, Vick connected our group with a textile expert who walked us through cotton from the plant to thread, the dying process, spooling, and loom for a final product. Finally, Vick took our group to a chocolate connoisseur where we learned more than we could imagine. This experience is must do!

What an amazing tour! - This was an amazing tour. Vick was absolutely the best, most informed tour guide ever. He took my husband and me on a walking tour of a community coffee farm explaining the growing process, followed by an in depth demonstration of the life cycle of coffee and culminating with a delicious taste of the coffee. He also included a side trip to the local textile cooperative, another excellent learning experience. Just can't think of a better way to spend the morning. Thank you, Vick!

Vick was very informative... - Vick was very informative during the coffee portion of the tour! I learned a lot and went at a good pace. The textile portion of it was really cool at first but turned out to be a tourist trap. Guilting you to buy from gift shop. Many textile places all over the town and the items were the same which made it feel inauthentic. The town was very touristy. I enjoyed it but didn’t feel like it was an amazing value for the price. Would still recommend
