Hello, I’m Wilmar Retana. I completed my degree in Naturalist Guide from the Community College of Puntarenas, where I pursued my career ambitions. I’ve been continually upgrading my skill set to earn my certification, with specific courses in areas such as flora, fauna, geography, ecology, Costa Rican folklore and history, public relations, group tour planning and leadership, tourist patrimony, first aid, environmental interpretation, and English language, throughout my tenure as a naturalist guide. I also hold a specialized technical certification in Agroecology which I have earned at the Technical & Professional High School. Additionally, I have completed certified courses at the Community College of Puntarenas in Cartographic Elements Interpretation and Tropical Dry Forest Tree Species Identification. I was also trained in Ethics Application in tourist activities by Costa Rica’s National Institute of Learning (INA).
