- San Jose - Meet in Parque Morazan under the dome temple. This park is in front of the Holiday Inn Aurola.
We’ll wonder under tunnels and past abandoned buildings, catching the newest works in graffiti art and then continue to galleries featuring indigenous works, urban fashion, vibrant paintings, sculptures, furniture and more. Sometimes we might meet the artists themselves.
In between locations, we’ll catch glimpses of some of San Jose’s most historic buildings, learning more of Costa Rica’s history.

This creatively inspired tour takes visually curious guests on an exploration of contemporary Costa Rican art to view and/or purchase. Via these works of art we will learn history of place and current events.

Gem of a tour - I would never had known gems such as these buildings existed in the hustle and bustle of San José if I had not done this great tour

Great tour - Fabulous tour. I recommend 100 percent. It not only art but a tour of San Jose's wonderful architecture. Angie is very knowledgeable and full of historic facts. Don't miss this tour.

What a great way to see San José’s art and architecture! - We spent a delightful two hours with our guide and saw murals and art galleries and lovely buildings in Moorish, Spanish and Victorian styles.

Murals and history of San Jose - We had a spare morning in San Jose, so decided to do this to fill in time. So pleased we did it. The guide was friendly, informative and went at a gentle pace to suit our needs. Saw bits of San Jose we would never have seen and learned lots about the city. The murals were impressive, too. Definitely recommend this.

Beautiful cultural experience! - Great cultural experience in San Jose! I booked this excursion two days in advance and received great communication. I ended up being the only participant for the day which allowed my tour guide, Christopher (I think that was his name) to be a little more flexible. I learned there's a lot of European influence in the architecture throughout the city. I really enjoyed myself! I really enjoyed Ñ and ended up purchasing a few souvenir items from there.

Great Walking Tour - It was interesting to see the interesting variety of architecture in the neighbourhoods we walked Our guide was excellent unfortunately I can’t remember his name. He was very knowledgeable about the buildings.He did not rush us and was happy to answer any questions we had even if they were not related to the tour. The tour was a very good way to see some of Sa Jose and well worth the cost. I would strongly recommend it as a way of exploring the city

Excellent walking tour - highly recommended - I really enjoyed my walking tour of downtown San José with my guide Sharon! She shared a lot of interesting history that I wouldn’t have otherwise gleaned without her knowledge of the city. Definitely one of the highlights of my Costa Rica trip.

Great and informative walk with a nice guide to discover San Jose's secrets! - Great experience for discovering San Jose in a different way! We had a history and art tour with Angie, who told us many stories about the city, the main buildings, but also less known ones. We visited Barrio Amon, Otoya, and city center, during a 2 hour pleasant walk. Perfect for a small activity before taking your flight! I highly recommend.

So glad I took this tour! - This tour was wonderful! We learned about aspects of the culture and history you don’t get from museums. Our guide, Alejandro, was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the topics he covered. One of the best walking tours I’ve been on.

Great art tour! - Our tour guide didn’t show up at the scheduled time and meeting place; and we were early. I messaged the guide through the Viator app but didn’t get a response. It took us some research to get in touch with the company but when we did, they offered us the same tour the next day.
The next day, the guide was early and we had no problem finding her at the meeting location. We had a WONDERFUL time and the guide was fantastic! We went to art galleries, saw street art and learned about the local architecture.
Despite the no-show guide on the first day, I would still recommend this tour!
