Perfection! - Lucia was the sweetest and knowledgeable person. She made the experience feel easy and homey. Being able to learn about the history, and the process while tasting it throughout was fun and worthwhile. Now, let’s get to why you all are here… making the chocolate!!! Lucia walked us through each step perfectly and it was stress free. Being able to taste all of toppings and fillings so we could personalize our bars, made it feel more personal and professional. My sister and I had a blast and want to visit San Jose again with our family so we can experience this class again!

Loved the experience and enjoyed - I enjoyed learning of the history of cocoa. The unique taste, from the raw, slightly bitter to the smooth, velvety liquid chocolate. Sampling the cocoa at different stages was a delight. The transformation from bean to bar and its stages cocoa butter, powder and chocolate. The culmination of the tour was crafting my own chocolate treats and decorating my bar package. Thank you for the good time.

Such a fun and interesting experience! - Nice sized group of eight tourists to San Jose. We learned about the chocolate making process from tree to bar. And we actually made our own chocolate bars! What a cool experience that we all enjoyed. Lucia and Mauricio (sp?) were excellent hosts, teachers and chocolatiers! Quite a fun and memorable experience!

Wonderful Class exploring the world of Costa Rican Chocolate - This class was so good. It started off with the history of chocolate and the actual cocoa fruit itself. Then we explored tasting various stages of the chocolate. Next it was time to make some chocolate. This was lots of fun. Once we made our two molds they went into the refrigerator for 10 mins to set. Once set we selected which toppings we wanted. I opted for (3) on one bar, this way I got to taste a variety. Next we added the fillings in the other bar of chocolate. I choose condensed coconut for half my bar and passion fruit for the 2nd half. The experience was great and I highly recommend it! Thanks again.

Fun and informative - This experience was very informative. It was fun tasting chocolate at different stages as well as making our own chocolate bars. We made four chocolate bars (2 for me and 2 for my husband). There was a variety of toppings. We also toasted the end of the experience with a traditional Costa Rican chocolate drink. My only feedback is to have a clear sign outside labeling the address. When we arrived it just looked like a regular house until Mauricio came outside signaled for us to come in.
