- Teatro Nacional Costa Rica - You will visit the lobby and European-style coffee shop of the National Theater, the home of the Costa Rican Symphony Orchestra. You will experience the beauty and grandeur of this architectural gem.
- Parque Espana - You will visit this beautiful little park that once served as the parking lot for oxen carts bringing sugar cane to the liquor factory. From here, you will see the historic neighborhood of Barrio Amón.
- Parque Nacional Park - The National Monument is a large, impressive statue in the prettiest park in San José. Here you will learn about one of the most important events in Costa Rican history, when the countries of Central America united to fight slave traders from North America.
- Metropolitan Church (Catedral Metropolitana) - You will visit the magnificent, main cathedral of San José. You will marvel at this awe-inspiring building filled with fabulous art. Outside of this important building, stands a statue of Pope John Paul II who said a mass for peace here in 1983.

Great Downtown San Jose Info - Our tour guide Michael was wonderful. He is very knowledgeable about the area of San Jose and its history. He has a good sense of humor which was fun. We enjoyed hearing about factual history as well as rumored history (which we got to hear a lot about the factual history and little about rumored). We saw many historical buildings and beautiful parks .All in all it was very informative and a lot of fun.

Excellent walking tour while in San Jose from Michael Miller. Every detail of city was seen, a must do tour! - This walking tour of San Jose was guided by Michael Miller. He arrived and met us in front of the Grand Hotel. From there we started our adventure of the Grand Hotel and the sites within the city. Michael had a great sense of direction of the area. We visited several parks, government attractions and places such as cafe’s and restaurants. This is a walking tour so expect to walk a lot. Nevertheless, the history of this city was explained as well every detail was shown. We visited several churches along the way. A very detailed, and exciting tour of San Jose that I won’t forget!

Great walking city tour! - We had the opportunity to do this tour with Michael Miller as our guide. He is very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves the San Jose History and culture! He showed us all the main tourist attractions and local parks. I would recommend him him as a guide.

Great intro to historic San Jose pointing to places to revisit. - Our guide was a US expat who brought unique perspective. He has written guides and histories so had lots of stories. The tour gave us great pointers for revisiting areas of interest.

Detailed Walking Tour - This was a very good walking tour guided by Michael Miller and Nury Mora for my spouse and me. They were extremely generous with their time and knowledge. Michael does the primary guiding with some insights and general support by Nury. Assisted us finding a good shopping location and cafes. The tour ended up at almost 3.5 hours. Lots of history and architecture.
