A Journey Through the Oasis

Our family adventure began with a delightful ride to the Wild Canyon Kingdom, where the anticipation of meeting camels had my kids buzzing with excitement. The journey itself was a treat, as our driver entertained us with stories and jokes, setting the tone for a fun-filled day. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a quick check-in process, which included signing a waiver and paying a park entry fee. While this might seem like a minor inconvenience, it was a small price to pay for the adventure that awaited us.

Our guide, Kafuya, was a gem. His knowledge and humor made the experience unforgettable. He introduced us to the camels, each with their own unique personality, and shared fascinating insights about these gentle giants. The camel ride through the lush El Tule oasis was a serene escape, offering breathtaking views and a chance to connect with nature. Though the ride lasted only 30-45 minutes, it was the perfect amount of time for our family to enjoy without feeling rushed.

Meeting New Friends

After our camel ride, we returned to the tent area where we had the pleasure of meeting Sahara, a charming female camel. Feeding her carrots and capturing the moment with photos was a highlight for the kids. The handlers were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had a memorable experience. It’s always a good idea to bring some cash for tips, as their dedication truly enhances the adventure.

Our package included a visit to the mini zoo, where we encountered a variety of animals. The kids were thrilled to feed the colorful lovebirds and even had the chance to hold an iguana, which was both thrilling and slightly nerve-wracking! The laughter and joy shared during these interactions were priceless, and it was a wonderful opportunity for the kids to learn about different species in a fun and engaging way.

While our package didn’t include the waterslides, the option to enjoy them is a fantastic addition for families looking to cool off and add an extra splash of excitement to their day. Instead, we headed to the Lion’s Den restaurant, where we indulged in refreshing margaritas, chips, salsa, and tacos. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed, providing the perfect setting to unwind and reflect on our adventure.

As we enjoyed our meal, we were presented with the option to purchase photos from our day. While it’s tempting to capture every moment, I found that the memories we created were more than enough to cherish. The Camel Quest experience was a delightful blend of adventure, education, and relaxation, making it an ideal choice for families seeking a unique and memorable outing in Los Cabos.
