These guided surf expeditions are for all surfer levels. Weather you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced surfer we will take you to the right waves for your surfing level.
With our local knowledge we explore the best surf spots along the coasts of Los Cabos. We know when are the best conditions to surf them depending on the time of year, swell direction, tide and wind factors. We have great waves all year round on both the Pacific Coast and the East Cape.
We keep our groups private and small and we provide full 4x4 transportation and all the beach gear you need to have the best surfing experience in Los Cabos.
We start the day early to take full advantage of the morning waves.
There are many hidden waves in Baja California Sur and our local guides knowledge and experience will take you there.
we also stop at different local places for lunch and beers after the surf!

headquarters in Misiones de San Jose in the Hotel Zone area. Easy to walk to from most
beach front resorts in San Jose del Cabo or take a quick Uber or Taxi.

The best surf expedition! - Absolutely, the best surf tour in Cabo. It was exactly what I was looking for. Max provided transportation to and from my hotel. And took me on a personal surf tour to some local breaks, perfectly suited for me. You will not find a better guide. It felt like a day of surfing with a buddy. I cannot recommend his tours enough.

Great Time with Excellent Surf Instructor - I was kinda nervous to surf because it had been awhile and I was still a beginner. But Max made me feel comfortable, gave super helpful tips and made the entire experience a lot of fun. He picked out the perfect board for me and I was able to catch waves and ride a few 5+ seconds which is amazing for me. The beaches were spectacular with barely anyone else around, it was clean and we had 2-4ft waves to ride. Later got lunch at a tasty seafood place overlooking the ocean. Also appreciate him picking me up from my hotel, bringing chairs and beach umbrella for rest, and providing snacks and water. Highly recommended.

Awesome, professional, and personalized experience! - Max picked us up in a clean and spacious vehicle, and was professional and polite throughout the trip! He had comfy beach chairs, umbrellas and snacks, and made sure that we had surfboards that were best suited for us. Both my husband and I have taken surfing lessons before, but this is the first time that we both were able to get up on our boards for more than a few seconds and feel the rush of riding the waves! Having a private tour with Max meant that we were able to get a lot of one on one attention, which really helped us take our skills to the next level. We ended our day at a great local taco spot, before Max drove us back to our hotel. Would highly recommend!

Amazing Time exploring the untouched coastline/waves of Baja! - Overall, we cannot recommend Good Trips Baja enough! My fiancé had surprised me with a one-day local-guided surf expedition during our stay in San Jose Del Cabo. Max was an amazing host and new the lay of the land, in addition to, being flexible on where to go based on our differing skill/confidence levels. We were able to finish the day out with some local grub and cervezas and couldn't have had a better time. For anyone looking to see a more untouched side of the Baja coastline, 100% book your trip with Max!

Great instructor, even cooler person! - I had a great surfing experience with Max. At first, the waves and waters were intense and intimidating for my skill level. However, Max offered to explore a different beach that would suit my skill level better. After the nice drive to our 2nd beach, i was able to get up and start surfing for real. Max is a great instructor and person. Super friendly and very knowledgeable on surfing and Cabo San Lucas area. Overall, I had a great experience with Max. I would highly recommend him if you want to learn to surf, or find crazy surfing spots for the more experienced.

Max is the Man! - Signed up for a day surf trip with Max. He picked my fiance and I up at our hotel in Cabo, and he had the vehicle stocked with beach chairs, a cooler, umbrellas, and had a board for the size I requested. He drove us to diffenent locations until we found a great surf spot. Surfed for several hours and had a blast! Wish I wouldve booked him for more than one day! Highly recommend!

Lots of Fun Learning to Surf - Perfect day learning to surf with Max from Good Trips Baja. While Max is super laid back and fun, he is also punctual and customer-oriented. Max consistently evaluated how things are going to adjust to attain our complete satisfaction. Highly recommend Good Trips Baja for your surfing lessons whether beginner like us or more advanced. Incredible time with Max - Max was awesome. My wife and I joined him for the day and it could not have been better. Great service, communication all the way up to our trip, excellent English, super clean car, great gear.
I would consider him a friend now. Can't wait to go back. I'd like to spend more time in Cabo exploring and Max can make that happen.
