Emerging from the traditions of Bagpipes, Woven Drums and maintaining them alive, we have San Jacinto. This area, renowned for its exemplary weaving craft, is hence known as The Land of the Great Hammock. With roots traced back to African and native origins, this town situates itself in the heart of Bolivar, a mere 120 km away from Cartagena. It is home to the minstrels like Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto who have earned a Grammy award, a testimony to the cultural wealth of this locale.
