Highlights

Meet at a small family-run farm in San Gimignano dedicated to the cultivation of grapes and olives and the production of wines and extra virgin olive oil. In 2000, the farm decided to convert all production to the organic method of cultivation, that involves the use of only natural products exploiting the natural fertility of the soil and considering the entire ecosystem. Since 2003, all products are certified organic.

The wine tasting venue is located within walking distance from the town center, in the beautiful surrounding scenery with a view of the towers of San Gimignano and the Vernaccia vineyard.

The activity starts by visiting the Vernaccia vineyard, the farm cellar and concludes with a tasting and Tuscan lunch.

Fun Day - Our family of five had a wonderful time at the tasting tour. Gorgeous sunny day, the views are extraordinary. Our host Sara shared her strong knowledge of wine, oil and balsamic. The appetizer boards of cheeses, meats, breads, oils and balsamic were so tasty but the lunch option was a bit disappointing- gnocchi pesto and lentil dishes. We look forward to receiving our ordered items! We enjoyed meeting annd visiting with others at nearby tables. The meal shouldn’t deter you, the overall experience was still fabulous!

An amazing Tuscan experience! - We had such a wonderful time at il Marronaia. We booked the Wine and Oil Tasting with Lunch and there were four wine tastings with our meal, two white and two red, and they were all wonderful. The meal consisted of a delicious antipasto, homemade lasagna with panzanella as a side and tiramisu' truffles for dessert. Along with our meal, we were given six different olive oils and three different balsamic vinegars to add to any part of our meal as we wished. Our guide gave us interesting information with each tasting and we were given the opportunity to purchase any of the wines, oils, vinegars, etc. if we so desired. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Amazing - What an amazing experience! We loved touring the vineyard and winery. Lunch was absolutely wonderful. We had a shaded table with misters to keep it cool on a hot July day. The food and wine were perfect.

A Journey into Tuscany: Super Tuscan & Organic Tasting Experience - We were thrilled to partake in the Super Tuscan wine tasting. The chance to explore both white and red wines that step outside traditional D.O.C.G rules was an enriching experience. With a focus on the Sangiovese red grape, we discovered new tastes, aromas, and feelings that have made Super Tuscans increasingly popular. The tasting included organic and bio-dynamic products, along with delightful olive oil and balsamico. The bonus tasting of their exceptional rosé was a memorable highlight. For those looking to explore innovative and sustainable Tuscan wines, this experience is a must!
