Additional Information

On this combined ghost tour and pub crawl, your guide will lead you through the most iconic haunted locations from San Francisco’s Gold Rush period.

The tour begins in the only area of downtown that survived the 1906 Earthquake and Fire - Jackson Square, moves across the notorious “Devil’s Acre,” and concludes in the famed Chinatown. Here, you’ll encounter the ghosts of desperate miners, sorrow-stricken women, and sailors tricked into service… along with a couple of serial killers.

Unlike a regular ghost tour, we actually venture inside four haunted sites where, should you choose, you can enjoy a different sort of spirit.

Educational and fun ! - The guide was kind , funny , intuitive and knowledgeable. He also gave the tour through an anti colonialism lens and was very respectful of discussing different culltural views and experiences of oppression. It was great to have conversations as a group I have lived in San Francisco for 25 years and I learned so much more history about this amazing place . I can’t wait to go back and explore more history on my own . I loved seeing the wild parrots and walking through North Beach and Chinatown at night . The bars were cool too , but we were often outside so it would be a fine tour for someone to go on even if they don’t drink . The walk wasn’t too far either - 2 people in the group had some mobility concerns and they did just fine . We had an excellent night and it left me inspired.

Jamie was great! - Jamie was fantastic! He knew his stuff and his enthusiasm made the tour even better. I also appreciate that he was early and texted everyone as to where he was, what he was wearing.

If you're looking for San Fran's dark history, this is the one! - It was such a great tour! Personally, I think it should be called "San Fran's Dark History" or something like that, because, frankly, you get more bang for your buck than I had anticipated! Not only do you hear about some spirits but you get such interesting history on the darker underbelly of SF, all of it told by a tour guide who is passionate about the topic and who's enthusiasm for being able to tell it all to the group is infectious. It was one of the best haunted tours I've ever been on.

This tour is a “must-do” whether you’re a tourist or not. We gleaned so much eerie history about SF. Amazing! - I highly recommend this tour if you like history, spooky tales and pubs. Our tour guide, Jamie, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The walk was slow paced and manageable. It wasn’t rushed at all. The small group size made it easy to hear Jamie. Stopping at the pubs to get the low down of days gone by was captivating and being able to sit and have a bevy was a great way to get to know others in the group. Thank you, Jamie. Hope to see you again. 5 star tour for sure!

Fun and informative walking/drinking tour - We had a great time on our tour with Eric. We've lived in the Bay Area for over 30 years but heard stories we'd never learned about San Francisco in the early days and walked through alleys we'd never been down. Whether you are a true believer in ghosts or a total skeptic, you'll enjoy this slice of SF history while stopping for drinks at several fun bars.

Eric was a VERY... - Eric was a VERY entertaining and knowledgeable tour guide! We not only learned about some hauntings and true crime, but also about the history of San Francisco from its founding to the present day. Even though I've lived in the Bay Area for 2 years I discovered new areas of the city and places I never would've gone to otherwise. Highly recommended!
