Additional Information

For those seeking a versatile schedule to discover the untamed, scenic splendor of Yosemite National Park, this is your ideal tour. It’s the sole tour from San Francisco to Yosemite Valley that lets you choose your leaving day and returning day independently. Benefit from ample downtime to walk, cycle, and adventure according to your personal rhythm. We promise departures every single day of the year. Please note that you’ll need to book your own hotel accommodation; it’s NOT part of the tour package.

  • Access to the Sequoia Grove can be difficult during winter months, generally October through May, and other activities may be substituted at the discretion of the guide.
  • The Giant Sequoias Grove is located at a higher elevation and the hike is dependent on trail conditions, especially from October through May. Ice and snow might make the trail unsafe to hike. The decision of whether it is safe to go on the hike will be made on a day by day basis. Therefore, a visit cannot be guaranteed. However, while the trail might be closed, guests get to spend more time in Yosemite Valley. There you can see all the other great sights Yosemite has to offer, including El Capitan, Inspiration Point, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and more.
  • During winter months, temperatures in Yosemite can vary drastically to the ones in San Francisco. Therefore, it is recommend to wear winter clothes, especially shoes or boots with rubber soles and treads.
  • Tour makes stops for breakfast, lunch, and on the trip back for dinner. Meals are not included.
  • For hotel pickups, please select the Hilton Union Square if your hotel is not listed.
  • Audio links are available in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German, Korean, Chinese and Japanese. Specify language at time of booking under special requirements.
  • California law requires tour guests to bring a car safety seat for all children under 8 years and under 4’ 9” (1.4 meters) in height. Any guest that does not provide their child’s safety seat at the time of the tour and does not inform the tour operator may not be allowed to board the tour and will not be subject to refund.
  • Exact destinations & itinerary may differ due to weather, road conditions, and the guide’s discretion.

Memorable, exciting and educational! - I had an absolute blast on the tour with our Andy Howse and the driver (Nicaraguan chap) and David on my drive back, Not only did they keep us laughing the whole time with their witty humor, but their knowledge of the area was incredibly impressive. They made history come alive with their stories and anecdotes, turning what could have been a dull tour into a memorable experience. I highly recommend booking a tour with them if you want to learn and laugh at the same time

Wonderful experience! Thanks Rob! - Not really the sight seeing kinda guy tbh, but got dragged along by the wife who has visiting Yosemite as one of her bucket lists. Overall I am satisfied with the tour and very impressed with our tour guide Rob, who is a walking encyclopedia of anything SF. He did his best to keep us entertained with humourous commentary on the long rides to and fro Yosemite. We are knackered by the time we reached our hotel, but Rob's energy and enthusiasm didn't fade a bit since the start of the tour. Thanks for the memorable trip guys!

picturesque - Traveled with spouse on Viator bus tour from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park. We stayed for several nights ( which we would recommend because there is so much to see and unable to do in a one day trip). We were fortunate to see Horse Tail Falls— Fire Fall. Conditions were perfect— from the “True Minnesotans”

Yosemite Valley trip! - Ross was a very knowledgable and friendly tour guide who made the journey fun and interactive! The bus was on time and comfortable. We had the chance to see lots of unique and interesting spots, including seeing the giant sequoias and a view of the valley. Very happy with Ross and the tour itself, would recommend!

Weird drive - Not very pleasant tour. The driver( Gino) was all the time eating and drinking and interacting with phone apps while driving. I wouldn’t recommend it.
