Additional Information

Savor the beauty of the wineries and redwoods in Sonoma County on a full-day trip with our knowledgeable and engaging guides who know the region the best. This tour is meant for small groups who are keen to learn, have a great time, and immerse themselves in the local vibe of the wineries and redwoods located just north of San Francisco.

We deliberately avoid visiting Muir Woods given its overcrowding, which hinders our guests from fully appreciating the grandeur of the Redwoods. In its place, we visit Armstrong Woods, boasting older, loftier trees and considerably fewer crowds. This experience caters to those true enthusiasts who wish to completely immerse themselves in the majestic Giant California Coastal Redwoods.

Fabulous small group experience - My friend and I only had 1 day to explore after a conference in San Francisco. We chose this tour because it includes hotel pick-up and drop-off and lunch is included. We enjoyed awesome views of the Golden Gate Bridge, a stroll through a redwood forest that is more remote and peaceful than Muir Woods. And the wineries we visited were in beautiful settings with great wine and friendly staff. If I return to San Francisco, I will definitely signup up for another tour with this company!

Hike and Wine - This was a great tour. Our guide Steve was awesome. He took us to a special location to take pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was fabulous. He also had umbrellas for us during the Redwood visit. One thing we didn’t know was that we were going to be hiking for about 2 miles. Bring hiking boots or something that works well in mud. Hook and Ladder winery was great. A small operation with very personal service. Kendall Jackson was okay but a bit too stuffy.

Best “Woods and Wine” Tour! - Wow! Steven was an awesome guide! He was born and raised in SF, enjoys the outdoors and used to work at a vineyard. He was so knowledgeable and gave us a great history lesson. He filled the drive with a documentary about the Redwoods and stopped at a couple of landmarks not described in the tour. Top notch tour and tour guide!

Fantastic Time - Our driver David was great. Loved the stories he told us at each site and as we were riding on the bus. The places we visited and the wine was excellent. Will definitely recommend to anyone going to San Francisco

Best Tour and Best Guide - It's absolutely amazing. I booked this trip last minute and I highly recommend it! Our tour guide was so wonderful and accommodating. He was very funny and sweet. He has lots of knowledge of the city and different towns he drove us through to get to the redwoods and the wineries. I love the small group aspect, we got to meet a lot of amazing people from different parts of the US and other countries. The redwoods were so lovely and not a lot of people were there where we went, which I appreciate very much. Walking on the trail, it was so quiet and peaceful. The wineries were very nice, you get a couple of different wines to try and after the first winery, you get lunch.

A bit of everything 🍷 🌲 🌁 - Really well organised tour, without feeling like we were being rushed from place to place. We took our teens with us, and they were made to feel welcome throughout. David was a great tour guide, informative but leaving us to do our own thing once he had shown us around each stop. The two wineries were a good contrast - a small local winery and one of the biggest of them all! The redwoods were lovely and peaceful, and we got some spectacular views of the bridge. A full but enjoyable day 😊

Unbelievable! - This was a fabulous day. Brian was friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and caring. I am recovering from unexpected major surgery and he could not have been any more accommodating. He did not find me a bear but I can hardly blame him for that. Excellent driving skills. I learned so much yesterday that it will take awhile to absorb.
