Ebike - best way to visit San Francisco! - Great way to spend the day discovering the city! The bike was very comfortable, the power was enough to go up even the steepest of the San Francisco hills (I am a woman in her 50's), and the battery lasted me without problem (I still had 25% when I returned the bike). Awesome!

Fabulous Fun! - We had such a good time doing this! We had the bikes all day long and returned them at the end of the day with half of the battery still left. We traveled all over the city (approximately 30 miles total). We rode them like regular bikes, used the battery sparingly, mostly to assist in climbing the hills. It was so cool to see the city and the scenery from the bike. It was a totally different experience than seeing the city from a car. Best part of all was eating a hot fudge sundae at Ghirardelli guilt free after a day of bike riding! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see this beautiful city from a new perspective.

Adam was an excellent guide. - The guide Adam was excellent. He loves San Francisco passionately and took us to places that were different to the norm and all very interesting. He was also a very nice person. The reason for 3 Stars is that eleven riders in our group was far too big and made it impossible to hear all the instructions when negotiating very busy city roads. We felt quite vulnerable. Adam was not at fault as he obviously doesn't determine the number of riders in the group. When we fed this back, we were told that it was busy Spring break and we should be road aware before booking this trip. Adam was consistently trying to give safety advice so it was more than road awareness that was needed to safely enjoy this guided tour.

Never again - What a bunch of thieves. First of all 2 electric bike for the day is 75$ each meaning 150$ for a day (just saying, a mustang can be rented 120$) but more than that, my friend got a defective one. The battery died after a few hours (one round trip to Sausalito). We came back to the shop saying mine was still full and his, near empty, nothibg can be done except if you pay 25$ more for a recharge... that is thievery my friends. The owner tomd us that we should have called the number in case of incident (while explaining that if we have called the number, someine would have come with a truck and you should pay the repair anyway...). This is unacceptable and i don't know how they are still open... take a rental from the city, it would be cheaper, and you'll have more choices. Never again, thanks for nothing

RENT YOUR BIKES ELSEWHERE ! - RENT YOUR BIKES ELSEWHERE The staff who rent out the bikes are clearly not trained to do this, and the manager is in absolute bad faith when it comes to acknowledging his responsibility... We arrived in the afternoon (3pm) to rent bikes and do the classic San Francisco / Sausalito tour, with a return ferry trip, as suggested in most guidebooks. To start with, the saleswoman didn't know the difference between the different types of rental bikes. That's wasn't a good start... We opt for electric bikes at $75/bike, having heard about SF's famous slopes. The saleswoman tells us that the store closes at 8pm, and offers to sell us ferry tickets (of course more expensive than directly at the port, but that's fair) to save time. At no point does she tell us that taking the 7.20pm ferry would mean arriving too late at the store, and that we'd have to pay $25/bike if we arrived after closing time. Which, of course, happens, as the ferry is running a little late. Of course, this is surely mentioned in the contract, but since the renter signs a paper contract that is immediately withdrawn and is not given a copy (and the staff can't even find your contract the next day!), there is no way of being properly informed of any problems we might encounter along the way. As a result, we ended up paying $20 for parking to keep the 2 bikes safe overnight + $50 for not returning them on time! In addition to the $150 for the bike rental, that's a very, very expensive renta, and a very bad customer experience during our few days in San Francisco ! The staff is probably recruited for the season, and not very well trained, but we can't really blame them... What upset us the most was that the owner, who was contacted on the phone by the sympathetic manager, didn't want to know anything and didn't even deign to come and talk to us. We have to pay and that's that. And from what we can see of his responses to previous complaints, for him everything is always the renter's fault (as is often the case in tourist areas, they don't care about customer service as tourists won't be coming back anyway), and never his own. So stay away from this company and rent your bikes elsewhere !

Be careful - I don't recommend this service, it's predatory. Went last Saturday after reserving 3 E-Bikes earlier that morning. Got there and was greeted, then was asked to sign their documents. After signing, the clerk asks for a card to place a $1500 deposit for the bikes. It was the first time I heard of a deposit being needed, and I wasn't financially prepared to place a hold that large. I let him know that I wasn't able to do that, so he makes a call to a supervisor. He then asks if I got the confirmation email saying that there's a deposit required. I check and see it mentioned at the bottom, but mentioned that this is only stated AFTER you've paid for the reservation. He then begins to barter to see how much I could come up with, and asks for phone(s), jewelry, etc. as collateral. He even asked if one of the women I was with would give up some jewelry that she had on. I asked if getting their insurance would eliminate the deposit and he said it doesn't. After another phone call, he offered a reduced deposit of $800 for the bikes but I declined and requested a refund. He was told by his management that a refund wouldn't be issued, and mentioned that he was "trying to help me not lose my money". I left. Called back a few moments ago today, a lady answered. I explained the situation but before I could finish, she began to raise her voice and got defensive when I mentioned their deposit process and the lack of transparency on the website. I felt gaslit, the call ended with her raising her voice saying: "then why are we even talking? Why are you calling back trying to tell me how to run a business?" Based on reviews below I know management/the owner will reply to this defending why they did what they did, and it's a shame. If they reply at all. I've rented E-Bikes in other cities where this wasn't a concern. I work in high end retail, and we never treat clients this way. I'd like my money refunded. I wonder what issues I would've faced had I given them the deposit, would they have found a technicality to try and keep it? This was a poor way to treat a person visiting a city, and I can't imagine the situations others have been in with this business.
