Terrific Experience for first timers visiting San Francisco - Wonderful experience. We opted for the early morning tour (7:15AM pickup) of Muir Woods which is definitely the better option. When we arrived to the park around 8:30AM, our guide helped pick up the admission tickets and provided an overview and recommendation on which trail to walk. The park was nice and quiet at this time and allowed us to take in the space at our leisure. We managed to walk through the main trails for the entire hour and half that we were there. The park was busier as we were leaving, so we were very grateful we pretty much had the park to ourselves before the crowds. Sausalito was a beautiful town. Take the time to walk through the town. Whether or not you want to grab a nice meal, an ice cream or just sit down and relax, there's something for everyone! Would definitely go back to both locations on our own time so that we can walk around both places again.

Wonderful experience.... - Wonderful experience. Easy to meet the driver and the travel to Muir Woods and Sausalito was picture-worthy! Muir Woods in the morning was the best because for the first 60 mins in the park it was basically just us and then it filled up by about 9am. Amazing pictures. Sausalito was good. More a place to grab something to eat and catch a picture of Bay Bridge.

Pros and cons about the tour - Very curvy switchback road to Muir Woods. We were hoping to get more information about Muir Woods and Sausalito from the driver. Needed more time in Sausalito. The Redwoods were awesome and very peaceful walk through the woods.

Nice Trip! - Nice trip! Stopped for short visit at end of Golden Gate Bridge then headed to Muir Woods. Had plenty of time there and also plenty of time at Salsalito. It was nice to have someone do the drive to the woods. It’s very steep and a lot of windy turns.

Chill out with this tour of Muir Woods and Sausalito - This was a great half-day tour to take as a solo traveler. I wanted to see Muir Woods but didn’t have a rental car and didn’t want to figure out the bus and shuttle schedules to get there on my own. Lawton picked up our group from a convenient location near Union Square. He talked some history about the area as we drove to Muir Woods - enough to keep us interested but not feeling like we were at a lecture while on vacation. We stopped at Vista Point for some Golden Gate pictures and a bathroom stop. Then we headed to Muir Woods, and within 10 minutes of arriving we were in the park, exploring with maps in hand and friendly advice about where to go within our allotted time. Next, we drove to Sausalito which was an okay stop. Sausalito’s pretty, and we had great weather for walking along the waterfront, but besides that, the only things you can do there in an hour involve just spending more money: shopping, getting a drink or ice cream. None of those things are inherently bad, but I would rather have had more time at Muir Woods. You have the option of ditching the bus ride back to SF in favor of going back via ferry, but that’s not included in the trip price and the ferry wasn’t leaving for another hour after our scheduled departure time. Rather than be tempted to spend more money, I took the bus back. That worked out well because we rode over the Golden Gate one more time and got to see the beginning of a beautiful sunset. Lawton kept us on schedule and offered helpful recs for where to go in SF depending on your interests. Overall, this was a great tour with an easygoing vibe. Highly recommend!

It was okay. - As soon as we boarded the bus, we found out that we were not going to Muir Woods because of the gov't shutdown. I was a little surprised that we didn't find out sooner so we could possibly cancel.
