Great rental experience - We rented 9 bikes for friends and family who had come into town for my wife's birthday, so we could ride through the park to the ocean and back. The bikes worked great and service was fantastic -- the owner even had his mechanic fix the brakes on my personal bike for free at the end of the ride! Strongly recommend this shop for bike rentals in SF.

An excellent place to rent a bike - A nice selection of bikes, easy to reserve. The bikes are well maintained, the service is with a smile and a pleasant conversation. I would definitely rent a bike here again, only this time I'd get an electric bike as the Golden Gate Park is hilly, and I was not in the best shape then.

Poor Customer Service - no route recommendations from staff - Customer Service at Unlimited Bicycle Rentals by Golden Gate Park was poor. There are no bathrooms at the rental store. We had to use the bathrooms at Whole Foods down the block. No route recommendations were provided, and we ended up riding in congested areas of the park with cars and pedestrians near the California Academy of Sciences. Stick to areas of the park that are closed to vehicle traffic.
