A must-do when visiting San Francisco! - Had the best tour! Orla our guide was friendly and so helpful and really made the day go well. We had a great bunch of people, Dutch, Brazilian, American as well as us British. A couple of steep hills certainly made you work hard, but there were plenty of stops and breaks so you could catch your breath and admire the stunning views. Lovely lunch at Joinery in Sausalito completed the day before a relaxing ferry back. This is a must if you visit San Francisco!

Great bike hire company - Great company to hire bikes from. Lovely bike ride, and great to get the ferry back instead of having to ride all the way back. Good value for money

An adventure in the Golden Gate - I recommend this adventure, which was cycling from San Francisco to Sausalito, passing through the Golden Gate. It's tiring, but the scenery and adventure are worth it. The bikes are great and safe. The ideal is to return by ferry as there are many hills where we need to take the bike, which takes time on the journey.

E Bike Tour - Did an E-Bike tour with guide (Orla) from San Fran to Sausalito. Whilst the e-bikes are expensive to hire it was most definitely worth it as there are two BIG hills (especially the last long hard uphill climb) the ebike just sailed up them. Safe trip mostly in bike lanes so perfect if you’re not a regular cyclist. We were two adults and two older teens(18&15) and we all enjoyed. It was a windy trip so did feel a little cold by end (especially hands) so do take layers. It was late March mind. Bridge was great experience to cycle over, you can get a free drink at a restaurant at the end but only if you buy food. We were given ferry tickets $14 each at hire point to come back on the ferry but if you chose to cycle back you can hand them in and get a refund (we had to be back by 7pm) there was a closer checkin for late returns too if u need this. We just cycled and came straight back on the ferry (with bikes) and there was a cycle lane from the ferry port along the front of fisherman’s wharf to bike return/start point. Note half way along the main wharf the bus lane branches a street(block) behind but it felt safer for us non US residents to use this than try and navigate in between traffic and huge volumes of people on pavement (your not supposed to do that anyway) so if your not used to “cars on otherside of road” look out for the lane (think it was just after Pier 33/ Alcatraz Car Park. Great trip, very safe, well organised oh- do ask about the chance to see Lucas Arte if your a Star Wars fan - was truly amazing!!

Great experience, Blazing Saddles could do a little better. - This e-bike guided tour was a highlight of my time in SF. Riding e-bikes takes several minutes to get use to the feel of the bike and its buttons but then it’s easy the rest of the day. The e-bike I rented from Blazing Saddles was high quality, comfortable, and a fully charged powerful battery. I barely had to pedal most of the ride. There were a total of 5 riders in my small guided tour plus our Blazing Saddles Tour Guide named Tate. I don’t know if Blazing Saddles screwed up their schedule or if Tate messed up his morning alarm, but we had to wait around almost 40 minutes for our tour guide to show up. That was frustrating since Blazing Saddles tells you that YOU better be on time or they will start the tour without you and no refunds. The staff at Blazing Saddles was friendly but also somewhat rushed and not really interested in making sure each participant felt comfortable with the numerous controls on their e-bike. I’m sure they feel like a broken record explaining safety and bike gears and the function of each button, but that’s their job, and there’s no excuse for glossing over instructions on operation of these bikes. Especially when we had an extra 40 minutes to wait around. Lastly, be aware there is NO BATHROOM at the Blazing Saddles location in Fisherman’s Wharf (not one they’ll let you use). They tell you to run down the street, around the corner to Ghirardelli Square, up stairs etc, to reach a bathroom. Ridiculous considering you’re about to start a 3 hour bumpy bike ride. Blazing Saddles: you need to ADD A BATHROOM. Outside of the above observations, the ride itself was lovely. Zipping across the Golden Gate was thrilling (and very safe thanks to a thick steel border between bikes and cars), and riding into Salsalito was absolutely delightful. Wear sunscreen even on a cloudy day(back of my hands got sun burned).

E-bike fun San Francisco - The bikes were great fun, and you get a 20% discount when you book on line! We had e-bikes and went to Sausalito and came back across the GGB rather than use the Ferry. Be very careful with your Ferry tickets, as they are given to you pre paid at the bike hire place(big con!)which you have to give back in if you don’t use them. I lost mine and still had to pay $28 upon return.
