Explore San Francisco’s Premier Attractions with the Extended GoCAR City Tour
Enhance your San Francisco city tour with this extended 3-hour journey! Beyond the usual route, enjoy a picturesque detour to the summit of Twin Peaks—standing 922 feet above the city—for stunning panoramic views of San Francisco. Then, glide down to Alamo Square to admire the iconic Painted Ladies, famously showcased in the TV show Full House. From there, continue past additional city landmarks as you navigate back through the historic Presidio and meander down the renowned Lombard Street.
- GoCar’s hold a maximum of 2 people. Prices are per GoCar - not per person.
- Passengers must be 4 years of age or older - and small children must safely fit into one of our DOT approved helmets. The GoCar is registered as a motorcycle - but a motorcycle license is not required to operate the vehicle.
- On the day of rental, a $500 security deposit will be held on the customer’s credit card. If a CDW or SLI insurance plan is selected, a $300 security deposit will be held. The security deposit is released when the GoCar is returned.
- Foreign language options are available in French, Spanish, Italian and German
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is an optional form of insurance similar to rental car insurance that limits your liability in case of accident. It is non-refundable. If you opt to purchase the CDW your deposit for rented a GoCar is only USD$300.00 instead of USD$500.00
- Driver must be 21 years or older to rent and must provide a major credit card and valid driver’s license at the time of check-in. A driver’s license must be in the customer’s physical possession (no photocopy). For foreign customer’s, an international license is not necessary.

Fun time - Fun open go cart experience. Had plenty of time to see what we want. Dress properly and have fun. We love the on screen GPS.

Highlight of the Trip — So Much Fun! - Omg this was so much fun, definitely the highlight of the entire trip! My friend and I had an absolute blast. The vehicle took a minute to get the hang of, but we got used to it quickly. The two-seater was a little snug, but we made it work just fine.
The GPS system guides you through pre-set locations, and the voice commentary was both fun and informative. What’s great is you can also go off the path if you want and just pick it back up later with no problem.
We booked the 4-hour tour thinking it would be plenty of time, but we didn't end up getting to everything wanted to see. So either plan to keep cruising non-stop or consider booking a longer option. 10/10 would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a unique and exciting way to see the city!

Really fun family activity - Really great activity to do. Check in was easy. Great directions on how the vehicle works. We enjoyed our time driving around. Lots of information was shared. Definitely touristy, but well worth it. Would recommend!

Fun! - This was so much fun! My daughter and I had a blast. The best way to see the city! We had plenty of time to stop and take several pictures and for my daughter to make a TikTok in front of the painted ladies. And the Groupon helped tremendously.

Victorian houses - I found beautiful the Victorian houses known as Painted Ladies. I took a lot of photos and also of the square that is right in front of you. Nice place to spend a morning, take a walk.

Unexpected Thrill - I found GoCar by accident while searching things to do in San Francisco…. And so glad I did! We had already spent time going over the Golden Gate Bridge on e-bikes yesterday, but this was a total tour of the city and a FUN way to get around. The iPad (mounted in the car) gave us a narrated tour with turn-by-turn instructions. Worth every penny.

Brilliant fun - These were great fun and such a good way to see the city. We also saw things we wouldn’t have seen on a bus or by foot. Would highly recommend and I think the price is fair given the cost of a hop on hop off bus ticket.

So Fun! - Very fun! Parks were beautiful and I got a kick out of seeing the houses featured in’Full House’. The people on the street got a smile out of seeing the gocart.

Go Carts of San Francisco - Super fun and great way to experience San Fran with a self guided tour at your own pace adventure. GPS technology allows for the cart to take you all over San Francisco while educating you on sights you see along the way. This is an interactive experience that allows you to engage in a scavenger hunt of sorts for a $200 gift certificate if you complete all challenges. They do state that you will be fined for wear and tear on the vehicle if you go over certain speeds etc. they do not have the ability to track locations on any of the cars. Make sure to stay on the path. It is easy to get confused on some routes. Great time for all ages.
