Your bikes will be prepared for you outdoors as you get there and you should likewise return them outdoors when you’re done.
- Rescheduling is available in the event of inclement weather
- Infants must be at least 6 months old and able to sit up to use a baby seat or bike trailer
- Children age 4-11 can use kid bikes or Tagalongs
- Comfortable shoes and clothes, water and sunscreen are recommended; dress in layers as weather is likely to change quickly
- Helmets are provided and recommended, though not required

Cheapest rentals, without compromise - We took the full day rental of electric bikes and cycled over to Sausilito. Team in the shop were soooo helpful, changed saddle heights to suit, showed us how to use the electric assistance to its best - so much that we returned both bikes with full range. To top it all off, fab music in the shop

Amazing trip through San Fran - One of the best things you can do in San Francisco. Just grab a bike (you don't have to be very sporty) and cycle over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito for Lunch. The views are amazing and the trails are safe and easy. You can already buy the ferry tickets to San Francisco at the bike shop. Bike were in very good condition and the staff very helpful. I strongly recommand!!!

Great bikes and service! - Great service. The bikes were great for uphill/downhill San Francisco. I am not a frequent biker, but managed with the city bikes. They have different suggestions for routes throughout the city.
We ran a flat tire going downhill. We made a quick call and they send someone with a new bike. The bikes have a small bag on the wheel were you can put some belongings in.

Very good service and prices - I rented an electric bike via Bay City Bike after looking online for the best price vs location vs ease. I definitly recommend Bay City Bike, the reservation was easily made and fast to check when picking up. Their service is on point, they tell you how to use the bike and what to in case something happens. Apart from good service and good price, the bike was also nice, worked well. Last but not least, the people working at Bay City Bike are nice!

Perfect way to get around town. - The electric bike rental was the best way to see everything we wanted to and get around town efficiently. The employees were very nice and helpful and the bikes were in great working condition.

Go electric bike! - Got electric! We rented bikes with the intent of going across the Golden Gate Bridge and back. We ended up riding all over the place for 7.5 hours. The electric bike made it so easy.

Cycling over the Golden Gate Bridge - Rented e bikes and cycled along well marked cycle lanes and tracks to Golden Gate Bridge and then across to golden gate park.
E bikes made everything easy as it’s not a flat ride

Highlight of our 2 week holiday - E-Bikes are the future! Amazing few hours spent making our way over the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounding areas. Powerful enough to get us up to Lombard Street and thankfully, the brakes held out coming back down! So much fun, teens (13 & 15) thought it was the highlight of our 2 week holiday in CA. Discount available using the app. Check in was easy, big deposit taken but returned no hassle as soon as we returned. Roads were super safe with bike lanes all over. Cars were cautious and gave us space. Polar opposite from cycling in London!

easy as riding a bike :) - The hiring of the bikes was really straightforward and the bikes themselves very comfortable. We opted to go without a group and cycle along fishermans wharf to see all the different sights as we cycled out to sausilito (I am spelling that incorrectly). Very easy to organise for both collection and return so no complaints with this service at all.

Wish they had sold us an eBike - San Francisco is a famously hilly city. However, when asked whether it would be ok to do the suggested route (Fisherman's Wharf to City Park and back) on a city bike, the staff told us there were only a few steep parts that were marked on the map.
In reality, around 1/3 of the route was uphill. That would be ok, except that the city bike is simply not designed for riding uphill — the back is so heavy that it feels like riding a regular bike with a young teenager on your back.
I wish the staff had been more blunt about terrain and tried to upsell us the sport bike or the electric bike.
