- BRINK Expeditions - Come experience the “Catamaran Difference”. We have over 30 years of experience taking guests sailing in San Diego, and you will feel welcome right away on our cats. The best wind for sailing, and sunshine is during our mid day sails. During our sail we will explore the harbor, and sight see areas such as the downtown skyline, Coronado Bay Bridge, the Embarcadero, and Midway aircraft carrier. We always see sea lions, seabirds, and often dolphins. Since we only take small groups, you’ll feel like you’re just out sailing with friends. Since we truly love to sail, we turn off the motor as soon as possible so you can just experience the quiet of the wind in the sails. Our catamarans are very wide and spacious, and they are comfortable for all ages of guests. There are several seating areas on the boats to find your perfect spot. Of course there are convenient bathroom facilities aboard. If you would like to take the wheel, and feel the power in the sails, you are welcome. We may not be the cheapest option, but my Captains are “World Class”, and are paid well. You’ll get a great vibe on the boat right away, and make some great memories. Catamarans really are more fun to sail with the special bow nets designed for sunbathing, and lounging around watching sea life, and water rush by. The swift and stable ocean design ensures a comfortable, and exhilarating ride without the rolling and leaning that often causes seasickness on other boats. When you are welcomed aboard, you’ll feel comfortable right away because we really do like people, and with such small groups, you’ve escaped the crowds.

The sailboat adventure - I enjoyed the sailboat tour best thing I ever did in my entire life Ryan the captain was very professional knowledgeable and gave us great insight as to where we were going and on our way back sailboating was a joy I will try it again if you never tried sailboating ask for Captain Ryan and you will definitely get a treat hope to see you guys there

Mother's Day Sail - Captain Matt took us on a great sail for Mother's Day. The boat was clean and exactly as we hoped. Matt was very friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn't have asked for a better day on the water. We will definitely be back again!

Great experience!! - Such a fun experience! Enjoyed being in the sun and on the water. Captain Ryan was a great host. A great way to learn about the city. Would definitely recommend this!

Four-Hour Whale Watching Tour - We booked a 4-hour private whale watching tour with my son’s family. Although we didn’t see any whales or dolphins, we all agreed it was the most fun thing we did on our trip to San Diego! The afternoon started out sunny, but as we left the bay, a fog bank rolled in. It was cold and rough, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Captain Kaya was wonderful with our 9 and 12-year old granddaughters and included them to make their first sail special for them. We returned to the bay when the weather got rough, and she brought out the Indian blankets and gave us a grand tour of the bay. We saw more of San Diego from the bay than we could have seen on our own driving around the city. I highly recommend Fun Cat for a custom adventure that is a truly memorable experience.

Memorable Trip with Our Family and DOLPHINS - We had the most incredible time on our boat tour! This was my daughters’ (ages 4 and 2) first boat ride, and I wasn’t sure how they’d react—but they loved it. Captain Ryan was an absolute delight—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so much fun for everyone. The boat was perfect for our family, with great seating and a table area for the lunch we brought.
The highlight of the trip? A massive pod of dolphins surrounded our boat and swam alongside us and even under the front of the boat where we were sitting. It was unreal—one of the coolest things I’ve seen. Core memory for sure.
If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly boat tour with an amazing captain, this is the one. Highly recommend!

Afternoon sail - Great trip with Capt Adam! We took our five year old and it was a perfect mix of fun and relaxing. Recommend for groups of all ages. Look forward to going again.

Highly recommend - An outstanding experience. Captain Ryan was at the helm and his 30 years of sailing experience really showed. He's awesome, friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The boats are unique in this type of tour and in perfect condition. Highly recommend this experience.

Birthday celebration with 10 friends - There were 10 of us sailing with Captain Ryan. We had an amazing time celebrating my birthday. The boat was very comfortable and the sailing was smooth. Lots of room to move around and plenty of seating for everyone. There is even a bathroom on board. The views of San Diego were beautiful and the sea lions were entertaining too. Ryan gave a safety talk before we left the dock and he was very helpful and a great host. Ryan takes great care of this boat and it was very clean and safe. We were out in December on a brisk day but it was very protected and warm in the cockpit . Some of us did go sit out front and enjoyed the view and the breeze. Ryan brought us blankets in case we got chilly. This is a great adventure for all ages, even us more mature adults. I highly recommend sailing with Fun Cat to experience a fun day on San Diego Bay.

A Perfect December Sail - A beautiful day celebrating a friend's birthday with 9 of her besties! Captain Ryan made the day flawless for all of us. We all arrived with the expectation that it was going to be cold and blustery on the water. Under sail everything was smooth and warm. Some us even ventured out to sit on the front trampoline.Mimosas and yummy food/desserts rounded out the festive experience. San Diego is so pretty from the Bay reminding all of us why we live here.
