Amazing tour definitely a must do if visiting San Diego. - My mom and I are visiting San Diego from Washington state. We decided to take this food tour of Little Italy and we're not disappointed. Everywhere we went was amazing and definitely well worth the money. The tour guide not only took us to the restaurants but on the way to each restaurant also told us about the history of Little Italy.

Little Italy tour - This was good. I've done lots of food tours and this one was not the best but not the worst. Food was tasty and enough for dinner. Fettuccine with bolognese, pizza, slider, and gelato. Got a glass of wine and sangria as well. Kirk was friendly and has extensively traveled.

Unexpected Surprise with an Italian Twist - This tour honestly was one of the most unexpected surprises on my trip to San Diego. This past week my friend and I traveled out to San Diego, and were originally supposed to go do the Gaslamp tour that this company provides. However, The Red Hot Chili Peppers were in California at the time and the Gaslamp would've been chaotic. The tour company rerouted us to another tour that worked out better for us (which was this tour specifically). We got paired with Kirk, and needless to say Kirk was superb! He was an amazing tour guide with a positive attitude and provided a lot of good historical stories of the Little Italy neighborhood but also San Diego at large. Became friends with Kirk and look forward to seeing him hopefully again someday on a tour in San Diego when we come back!

Surprisingly bland and not so focused on Little Italy - This tour was booked through a travel agency for us. The best thing we ate was a fairly standard slider at the Queensland Public House (yes, a New Zealand place) Pasta bolognese was totally bland. Pizza was meh. Gelato was good but nothing special. Plus our tour guide spent more time regaling us with descriptions of his travel adventures than about the history of the neighborhood and I think he made some of it up (on both subjects) My son and I were pretty disappointed overall. I promised him we’d get better pasta at home in Chicago to make up for it.
