Throughout the lesson, your instructors will make sure you’re safe and having fun. No experience necessary, all equipment provided.

Our teachers honor each learner’s decision concerning their involvement in the tutorial and their ease within the water. You’re sure to enjoy acquiring surfing skills in a secure environment!

All participants must check-in for the activity at our store which is located at 2261 Avenida De La Playa, La Jolla, CA, 92037. Once you arrive at our store, our staff will get you ready, introduce you to your surf instructor and teach you the fundamentals of surfing.
Arrive 30 minutes early.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Excellent Experience - We went to San Diego to get the full beach experience and this was amazing! Devan was super helpful and easy to talk to and Brandon at the shop was more than accommodating. We’ll definitely be back!

Surf Lessons - Surf lessons in La Jolla were amazing! It was a beautiful day and our instructor, Josiah, was so thorough and kind. We had a great day and highly recommend them for your surf lessons!

Fantastic - Fantastic morning with Emily learning to surf. I booked a private lesson for my two sons and they had a great time. Fab teachers, fab shop, helpful staff. Would 100% recommend this company. Visiting from UK and taking home some great memories.

Great Cali experience! - My two sons and I had an awesome time learning to surf with instructor, Jake. The water was very comfortable to be in with the wet suits and we all managed to get up on the boards and ride some of the waves 😊

Great surf lesson experience - Surfer Instructor Jake was great. Patient, calm and knowledgeable. He got this middle-aged tubby dude up and riding a couple of waves in an hour. Very easy-going, amiable and you can tell he enjoys his job and enthusiastic to work with people teaching them something he loves to do himself.

Carter and Dean were awesome teachers! Very professional and knowledgeable surf school. - Carter was the perfect first surf instructor for my teen daughter. He was patient, cautious and knowledgeable. Dean helped our two teen friends who had surfed before and he also was very skilled, professional and patient. I felt they all were very safe. They wear yellow long sleeve shirts over wet suits so they can easily pinpoint the students. Know that it is a good 15 min walk with the surfboard from the store to surf area on the beach. The only suggestion would be to have the rental surfboards down at the beach already and ask for credit card deposit before lesson. That way they can continue surfing immediately after lesson and not have to make the long walk to and from the store.
