Wonderful - Great walk, guide helped us with photos etc. great experience. Would definitely take again. Saw cayman, frogs, lizards some rodent too.

Fun Tour! - Our guide Paz (Pas?) was excellent. We went on a nearly full moon night, and he warned us that the brightness might make the animals less willing to come out and play, but we still saw tons - a variety of frogs + plenty of multi-legged creepy crawlies plus some larger critters like armadillo (!!), local rodents, cayman, birds both huge and tiny, and a very sleepy mama sloth with her babe. It definitely was not nonstop animals, but it was like the most fun game of Where’s Waldo that you’ll ever play. Paz was so knowledgeable about all the animals and where they might be hiding and the history of the forest that is only 30 years old was really interesting. Evening was hot and sticky, but teens and adults alike really enjoyed it.

It is the BEST! - We saw more than 10 frogs, 4 snakes and bunch more animals I can’t even name them. And we even saw a snake eating toad! Absolutely analyzing.

Worth the experience, highly recommend - Really enjoyed, especially if you like hunting for treasures, saw many frogs even many poisonous dart frogs, some birds and added bonus of butterflies. Well worth it

Excellent Experience - We were very excited to see all of the frogs, a sloth, butterflies, other insects, snakes, etc. I know it’s luck of the draw, but we got very lucky! Definitely recommend if you like critters.

Nighttime tour! - We did a nighttime tour with Melvin, who was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. We saw a number of animals on our CR wish list including red eye frogs, caymans, sloths and butterflies. We were especially impressed with the butterfly exhibiti where we saw caterpillars, pupae and then the evolution to butterflies. We loved the nighttime tour and the ability to see animals that we wouldn’t normally see during the day. Melvin showed us lots of insects and other animals we would never have noticed on our own. We were traveling with a guest in a scooter and the gravel path was a challenge, so be warned if you have any mobility issues. But, we loved the fact that this center was a nature center geared towards the development of animals in their natural habitat and that there are no barriers keeping any of them on the property. Would highly recommend!

Frogs!!! - This was an excellent guided tour. The wildlife preserve was small, but packed with lots of wildlife - frogs, birds, insects, butterflies, sloths etc. Melbin was a great guide, and spotted a lot of wildlife.

AmazIng night tour - Amazing night tour on a small forest. our guide Elias was very knowledgeable and excellent at finding animals. He also helped us get great photos with our iPhones. We would recommend this tour.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! - This was an EXCELLENT experience! We saw a sloth, spiders, lizards, butterflies, lots of different species of frogs & more! Melvin was our tour guide for the evening, he was very knowledgeable about the history and all the wildlife! He was very friendly and we enjoyed our tour with him! Melvin also took amazing photos of the animals for us on our phones! Our family was the only group there so we basically got a private tour. I highly recommend! The health and safety of the animals is always my #1 concern before doing any tours. The animals are in the wild, they come and goes as they please, they are safe & protected here!

Enjoy the Night Creatures - This was our first tour on arrival to la Fortuna. I loved following our very knowledgeable guide, searching with flashlights for wildlife. We saw many tiny frogs, spiders, bats, caymans and a two-toed sloth with her three month old baby! We passed through the butterfly enclosure but all the occupants were sleeping since this was a nite tour. We saw a small white headed snake and several large millipedes. Enjoyed this tour very much!
