Amazing experience - It was so much fun! We got to make our own chocolate, and they were delicious too. Definitely bring bug spray, as the staff recommends, because there are flies and mosquitos around. You begin by meeting the staff, who are all friendly. Our tour guide, named Irvanna, was super nice and good with everyone. We got to see the cycle of the cocoa beans, and how they got turned into the cocoa powder, and she also stopped to show us the animals and fruits. We tried the bananas and sour melons, which were very good and fresh. After we saw all of the plants, and were allowed to break one of the cocoa fruits, and see the seeds. We got to plant one of the seeds, and later on, got to see the dried seeds, and the whole tour was very interactive and informative. We ended up making our chocolate, getting chocolate samples, and getting to try the coffee, tea, and hot chocolate that they produced. I would definitely recommend, and it is a very family friendly experience, so going with a family is a good idea. Irvanna was an amazing tour guide, and was so nice to the children and adults.

Making it fun and educational - One of the best tours in La Fortuna; the growing and production of chocolate and coffee combined in one 2-hour session. Our guide, Alex, had an enthusiasm which only enhanced our experience!
