It’s a perfect spot for trekkers eager to explore and appreciate the distinct features of the tropical rainforest.\n\nOn the 3.1-kilometer (1.9 miles) trail, you’ll traverse 15 remarkable bridges, with some\n\nsuspended above the woodland, and others fixed in place. The Hanging Bridges Nature Preserve spans 243 hectares (600 acres) of preserved forestry. This excursion is perfect for those seeking to experience the traits and splendor of the tropical rainforest on foot.
The 3.1 km (2 mi.) loop trail encompasses 15 stunning bridges, with some hanging above the forest canopy while others remain stationary. These bridges, of varying lengths and heights, are crafted to provide distinct viewpoints to admire the plant and animal life as you traverse various layers of the forest. From these bridges, you can easily spot animals and birds from the advantage of treetop views.
The area’s topography is fairly straightforward with a few brief inclines, making it ideal for all age groups and skill sets. You can expect to potentially spot 3 unique monkey species, various bird species, snakes, peccaries, and frogs, among other animals in this type of forest.

Excellent guide! Harvin... - Excellent guide! Harvin was very knowledgeable and friendly. The driver did a good job on the curving roads and fixed a delicious snack of fruit and cookies afterwards.
We saw a variety of wildlife with Harvin helped us view with his scope. The only downsides were that the walk was not very long and the entire trail is concrete.

Fun Trip and Amazing Sights! - This was our first excursion in Arenal and it was truly memorable. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and showed us many interesting creatures and animals during our hike in the forest. We were so lucky that the weather held out and this was a memorable experience through a private rainforest. I highly recommend this trip for a neat way to see some of the local nature in Costa Rica. Thanks for a great time!

Perfect morning adventure - We absolutely loved the hanging bridges hike. It took about 2.5 hours with stopping to view various animals. We went in the morning, because we were told it was a better time for bird watching. We were very lucky to see a lot of birds (toucans, owl, falcon, and various other birds) and animals (bats, spider monkeys, frogs, a snake, coati). Our tour guide Monica was amazing, very friendly, and informative. She was great about helping get photos of all the animals with the viewing scope.
Views from the bridges were amazing. The path was easy to walk on and low level of difficulty and high visual reward. Highly recommend for a nice morning adventure.

Amazing tour and guide! - My hotel pickup was on schedule, and I was greeted by my guide, Jasmine. We had a small group of 5, and the tour was fantastic. I was solo and very nervous, and I really appreciate that an effort was made to ensure I was comfortable. We saw several animals, the walk was beautiful, and the bridges were slightly terrifying (but in a good way!) and a lot of fun. I highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic Tour! - This tour was awesome! The bridges are very secure but still give you that “Indiana Jones” vibe. Great views of wildlife. Saw a turantula in his spider hole. Recommend 100%!!

Awesome! - Awesome day! The company communicated very well from the moment we booked the excursion to the day before with confirmation of pickup place and time. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all questions. Group was only 6 people. Would highly recommend.

Worth every cent! - Very knowledgeable and informative guide Minor took us through Místico Hanging Bridges and we saw so much wildlife because he pointed them out otherwise we would never have spotted them. We saw snakes, birds, a coati up close, frogs, a lizard, tarantula and roach in their holes and a micro bat. Easy 2 hour walk

The trip was amazing and... - The trip was amazing and the guides were perfect.
Only problem was I got an email the day before saying to move to the am tour or pay extra.
Was fine to move to the am tour but a bit more notice would have helped as I didn't have internet to receive the message until even later.
