Arenal Canopy Adventure (Athica) - Embark on an exhilarating journey that begins with a brief 30-minute commute from La Fortuna to our zipline location, Arenal Canopy Adventure. Upon arrival, our seasoned zipline instructors will greet you, assist with your equipment, and conduct a safety orientation. We’ll then ascend to the initial platform, standing at 25 meters (80 feet) high, to commence our adventure across 8 cables spanning 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) amidst the verdant rainforest.\nOur zipline route features 13 platforms, with 4 integrated into massive trees using a unique anchoring technique that safeguards the trees’ growth. The cables vary in elevation from 20 meters (65 feet) to 90 meters (300 feet) and in length from 70 meters (230 feet) to 600 meters (1970 feet), enabling speeds up to 56 km/h (35 mph). Each cable offers a unique view and experience, soaring over gorges, mountainsides, agricultural lands, and dense rainforests.

Although the experience may sound a little risky, you can be set at ease knowing that you will have the assistance of two expert guides at every cable; one which will safely connect you to the cable and watch for the safety of the others waiting their turn, and the other to help in braking and in disconnecting you from the cable once you arrive at the platform. In addition, our cable and braking systems as well as our safety protocols are constantly reviewed to assure the safety of our guests, allowing you to feel comfortable and in control at all times. Each platform provides amazing views of the tree canopies of different ecosystems and unique angles for magnificent photographs.

The MOST fun experience! - This was my family’s most fun experience! I was so nervous but it was the most enjoyable and wish it would’ve lasted longer. The staff made everything so safe but made it fun at the same time. Valerie was friendly and so reassuring- an absolute must during your trip!

Exciting adventure - This was so much fun that we went a second time the next day. We saw a lot of wildlife, monkeys, iguanas, birds etc on our way zip lining.

Amazing team and wonderful and fun activity! - Wonderful and lively helping team! The ziplines are very secure and fun! My family loved the tarzan swing! Starting from the pick-up from hotel and check-in process, everything was very easy and breeze! I would definitely recommend this to everyone!

Private tour Christmas day. - Great private tour for our family of 5 (3 college age boys) Valery and Ervin were awesome. The tarzan swing and the last and longest is zipline were the highlights. Do a private tour so you are not having to wait in line with 20 people. Great way to spend Christmas morning with the family.

Amazing experience! - An absolute must!! Everyone was so amazing and nice, I was so nervous but it was all perfect. Photographer took videos and pictures and I can’t wait to get them. From the ones I saw they were all great!

Amazing experience! - We had a great time with our guides Andres and Valarie. From the very beginning going over the safety protocols and making sure we were comfortable through the entire course. For those who may not like heights, they were very reassuring that it will be a great experience and to at least try it once! The views were amazing and the guides offered to take pictures and videos for us along the way. We had a fun group! I will definitely bring friends and family next time we visit Costa Rica.

Unforgettable experience! - We were very lucky to have an afternoon tour all for ourselves (a mere coincidence!) Our guides Andrés and Ronald were amazing! They were super competent, professional and a big plus: very funny. Ziplining is very exciting, a bit scary at first but after a while it's very fun! It's beautiful rushing through the forest and seeing it from a completely different perspective. The tarzan swing is a MUST! This whole tour is an experience to check off of your bucket list. A special thank you to our guides Andres and Ronald for making this visit even more amazing. We had the bestest of times with them and will be coming again as soon as we can.
