Private full day to Berchtesgaden and The Eagles Nest - This was an outstanding full day tour with Patrick. We were able to stop at some other areas of interest and stay on time and see all that we wanted. We highly recommend Viator and Patrick on any tour that interests you. Thank you Patrick for closing out this Bucket List trip!

Avisit to the epicenter of Nazi power. - Believe it or not, Adolf Hitler conducted much of WW 2 from his residence in the Alps called the Berghof. Allied bombers and later Austrian authorities destroyed the Berghof so it wouldn't become a shrine, but remnants of the building remain . The mountaintop building , "The Eagle's Nest," favorite place of Eva Braun, Hitler's girlfriend, it entirely INTACT and worth a visit via Nazi built tunnels and an elevator. The highlight of the trip, from a historical perspective is the Documentation Center ofcObersalzburg. The Germans don't try to sugarcoat the horrors of WW2 and the Holocaust, to their credit. You can take a shortened version of the visit to the Center (40 minute audio tour) or the longer, more complete version. If you're interested in History, I RECOMMEND THE LONGER VERSION.

Wonderful private tour - Incredible experience. Lena, our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was able to add a lot of depth to the places we saw on the trip. Although this tour was geared towards WW2, she did take the time to add a couple of stops related to The Sound of Music.
I would absolutely recommend this tour.

Eagle’s nest and Hallstatt with Patrick! - Patrick was so knowledgeable and shared his personal knowledge being born and raised near Salzburg. We were lucky enough to book him for another tour to Hallstatt. That says a lot when you get done with one tour and immediately book another with the same person! I felt completely safe driving all the mountain roads with him, and I have a fear of heights. He added personal touches that I won’t spoil, greatly appreciated!! Thank you Patrick!!

BEST day tour!Book it when in Salzburg-you won't regret it !! - Patrick was an amazing tour guide! He was a wealth of info,fun and very personable! He knew all the best photo shoots,WWII history,Sound of Music facts(book his tour "Hills are Alive",and places to stop for lunch -most memorable day thanks to a fantastic tour guide!

Eagles Nest and Obersalzberg - Stunning views, nice weather (arranged by Patrick and the weather gods), great driver, wonderful lunch.
Patrick had excellent knowledge, taking us to all the places with the relevant history. Patrick showed us photos of actual WW2 documents that only he has, given by those who were there, or were the descendants of the above.
His lunch recommendation was excellent, with unique views as a bonus.
Would recommend Patrick to anyone looking for a private tour.

Exceptional!!! - Patrick was polite, pleasant ,accommodating and quite knowledgeable and appropriately dressed in his traditional lederhosen 🙂!!. His advice on dining and places to imbibe provided delectable and thirst quenching treats. We highly recommend not only this tour but Patrick in particular 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾!!!
