What a fun night! - What a fun night. It didn’t matter that we were not great cooks. We were shown what to do. The musical surprise added to the experience. We were proud of our efforts and enjoyed eating our food. We are so glad we chose to do this together.

Really fun night together - We did this our first night in Salzburg and every one of our family of 7 enjoyed it. The setting is so interesting and beautiful, the building in the side of a mountain. The cooking / baking was really fun and we learned a lot about dough making. Everyone agreed the pretzel was probably the best food item we had our entire trip of several weeks and we will definitely try to make it at home! Everything you make there though is very good, served extremely hot, made exactly the way you want it. As a side note if you arrive too early for your class, check out the bar with Klause next door. He’s not on trip advisor but it is a true Salzburg treasure and perfect place to get a beer while you wait.

Delicious and fun dinner to make with multiple generations - We really enjoyed the cooking class. We were there with our granddaughter and had a great time. It made for a wonderful evening and experience for all 3 of us. The strudel stretching was amazing - we got it so thin that it was perfect and delicious. The dumplings were fun to make and tasty. Rolling out and twisting the pretzels was interesting and made for a great addition to the meal. The music was superb - high quality.

Ok but not great experience. - Johan is obviously an experienced chef. I enjoyed the expertise that he offered. I was a little disappointed that we waited over 30 minutes for the event to begin and were offered a glass of wine while we were waiting for the last couple to arrive. I assumed it was complementary because we were running so late. In my opinion, the event lasted longer than necessary -over three hours. I needed to leave to catch a bus back to my hotel. It was getting dark, I am a female traveling alone, so I was the first to leave and was informed on my way out I needed to pay for the wine. I thought that was a little insensitive since I was leaving before I could eat the strudel while needing to leave to be safe and we were not told that we had to pay for the wine. They did pack up the strudel for me to take home, which was courteous of them. Overall, I would not repeat the experience.
