THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! 10/10 - My mom & I had an amazing time. The whole day was just perfect. The safari was majestic! And the river was so interesting! The dune ride in the sands was beautiful as well. We had the absolute BEST tour guide, Malang, who was SO knowledgeable & spoke English very well. Aside from the tour, my mom is elderly & Malang was so attentive, patient, and compassionate with her. He was all around a beautiful person. Barra was our driver & he knows the streets so well & drives very nicely! He was also very helpful & compassionate with my mom which is so appreciated. The best guide & driver, ever. Much love!

Great Safari! - My 7 year old and I went to Bandia today. We had a fabulous experience. Our guide, Amadou, arrived promptly at our hotel and was very kind. In fact, when I realized I had left my phone at the hotel, he let me take pictures with his. 🥰 We saw so many animals. We saw a variety of birds, giraffes, antelopes, monkeys, ostriches, rhinos, and my favorite, ZEBRAS.

Excellent compant and excellent trips. - We booked a few trips with Trip Tour Senegal, both times communication was excellent quick replies from Mika and our guide Abdoulaye. We only had a short time in Senegal so wanted to do as much as we good, seeing Bandia and Pink lake in one trip and Goree and Dakar in another was a perfect way to do this. Pick-up times were spot on and Abdoulaye was a excellent guide, funny and kind and always looking out for us, able to go at our own pace. Bandia was great we had a jeep for ourselves which was perfect, the park guide even took some great photos for us on our phone too so could just use camera. Pink lake while sadly not pink currently was really good and then a jeep ride round lake and onto beach was great, we could have got ATV's and driven ourselves but plumped for jeep to enjot scenery more. Goree on our second trip was a great day out, we forgot our ID which we needed for ferry, but Abdoulaye sorted that out with some smooth talking. To really see both Goree and Dakar fully in same day is maybe a bit much, but we simply did not have time to visit on seperate days, but if we had more time I think that would have been better. But we knew this in advance, so that was our choice for a whistle stop tour of Dakar. The advantage of a private tour as opposed to a group one is ability to do as suits you and this was where Trip Tour Senegal excelled.

Joyful day! - Felt a bit expensive when I saw the price first, but it's worth it I feel after spending a day with the team. Safari experience in Bandia reserve was very nice. Saw lots of animals, but the best part was the beautiful nature. I think baobabs in Senegal are special. They were truly beautiful, and continue to fascinate you after seeing many. You get to see legendary baobabs including one used as a semetary in the past. Pink lake was out of season, which means the water was not pink, but I'd say it's still worth visiting. Learning about the salt industry was very interesting. The guide found me a friendly salt harvester who allowed me to take pictures close up. (Don't forget to tip just a little bit to these amazingly hard working professionals.) Overall, great tour, perfectly arranged. Thank you, Mica! And to those of you who might be worried about the secuirty in the city after some news coverage of political unrest, the city is totally peaceful, calm, and safe. I thought about cancelling the visit before coming, but I'm so glad I didn't!!

Flexible trip due to change of plans - Since we due to change of plans, already had been to the pink lake (incl. jeep travel in the sand; note the lake is not pink as of Jan/Feb 2024 but there are initiatives to drain it for surplus water after a flooding, for the algae to grow and give back the color, may be later in 2024) earlier in our vacation, the guide and driver were flexible and we instead went to the most western point of Senegal and Africa for photos overlooking the lighthouse before travelling to the Bandia reserve. Traffic takes time. Bandia is more of an open zoo, but the Senegal eland is rare, impressive and worth a visit. There were also imported South-African animals in the fenced-in park. If you never have done other safaris, it is an opportunity to see during the appr. 2hr safari drive (may need to share vehicle with other guests) some wildlife including e.g., giraffes, rhinos, various antelopes, and crocodiles by the restaurant- the hyenas are typically sleeping in their den during day time. Since we skipped the pink lake and had some extra time, we were offered to visit the mangroves of Somone (boat ride 1 hr was an added cost) which we accepted. This gave us a full day including initial hunt for an official office to get transit stamp by gate II in Dakar harbor, as well as ending our travel at the airport. Thanks to our guide and driver for being flexible.

Bad experience - Despite the price paid, the guide did not buy the tickets at the official ticket office but preferred to scheme with another participant so that we could put it together, creating a huge mess when starting the tour. If I had to do it again I would take a driver to the reserve and I would pay for my entry ticket myself. It would be cheaper and would save me the stress when getting in the car for the safari. Regarding the pink lake, since there are no activities or meals included in the price of the reservation, a round trip with a driver/taxi would also be cheaper.
