We begin our excursion at Farol da Barra - the point where the Bay of All Saints meets the Atlantic Ocean. After a brief photo stop, we progress to Dique do Tororó, home to the Candomblé orixás sculptures and Fonte Nova Arena. We journey through the lower city via the Américo Simas tunnel, move through the port area and navigate through Calçada’s commercial district. Beyond this lies Largo de Roma, site of Sister Dulce’s Social Works, and we follow along Avenida dos Dendezeiros to Bonfim Hill. Here, we pause for pictures at Salvador’s most revered church recognized for the iconic “Lavagem do Bonfim”. Our route takes us past the Monte Serrat Fort, offering a breathtaking panorama of the Bay of All Saints. A final halt is made at the Mercado Modelo to admire local crafts, with the vibrant handicrafts, the sea backdrop, and the resonating berimbau captivating all visitors. We then make our way back to the hotel.
