Outstanding Cultural Evening! - Alex was a great guide. He met us promptly at the hotel and was very knowledgeable about the different sections of the performance and meanings of the various performances. His energy and enthusiasm was infectious! The Bale Folklorico was outstanding. The dinner that was included with the tour was at one of the highly recommended restaurants in the historic center. A great evening and I would highly recommend the tour. Make sure to ask for Alex as your guide!

Great show and meal, but not exactly as advertised. - My travel consultant booked this through Viator, and gave me the information contained in the link. It was definitely NOT as advertised, but was still an excellent evening, which is why I gave "the experience" five stars. I doubt that the problem lies with Your Tour Brazil. There was no walking tour of Pelourinho. It was NOT "four hours of cultural activity." It began with a one hour show by Balé Folclórico da Bahia at Teatro Miguel Santana. It was NOT a Bahian buffet, but a dinner after the show at Cuco Bistrô, which required an order to be placed in advance choosing from a fairly limited range of options. The meal was excellent, but it was disappointing to not be able to sample a range of traditional Bahian food. That said, the show was fantastic, and the meal was excellent. An English-speaking guide (Alex) met me upon arrival in Pelourinho and he was very helpful. Finally, the price paid to Viator was a total rip-off. As you can see from the link, it should have been under $200 CAD. I paid $214.29 USD (almost $300 CAD).

If you do one thing in Salvador, do this!!! - The pre-drink venue was interesting (busy and good cachaca shot with vanilla). The show was just excellent...good round-up of Afro-Brazilian resistance and experience...really enjoyed it. The dinner was at a fabulous venue but the meal choices weren't the best that they offer (I'd eaten there before and chosen a Bahian dish which was amazing). The guide was fantastic...full of life and stories and brought the whole experience alive!!!

Amazing show and food, but pricey - Very insightful show and lovely food at Cuco. However, I think we were overcharged, it’s cheaper to buy the ticket directly from the theatre and go to the restaurant yourself. Overall, it was a great experience :)

Avoid this company; totally unprofessional; dumped us at the last minute - I booked this show and dinner for my family (7 people) months ago for Dec 24, 2022 through TripAdvisor. One day before the event (Dec 23), a person by the name of Marcos Reis reached out to me through WhatsApp to let me know that the event was cancelled because of the religious holiday. Clearly Marcos / Your Tour Brazil knew a year in advance that Xmas Eve is on the 24th. That they offered this event on that day nonetheless, and waited until the last minute to let me know it was cancelled is deeply unprofessional and inconsiderate. I had planned this to be a special evening for the family, and at the last minute I had to scramble to come up with an alternative activity. Instead of taking ownership of the screw up, Marcos blamed "the government" for having declared a last minute holiday that day. Clearly he was lying, and very poorly at that. Shame on him / his company for ruining our Xmas Eve celebration. He does not deserve to sell his experience through TripAdvisor / Viator. He should be dropped and face consequences for his lack of care.
