AHmazing Copper Mine tour and more! - Ann was so personable, friendly and knowledgeable about the history of SLC and the Copper Mine! Wonderful tour and so much better to learn about what we are seeing enroute to/from the mine than driving on our own and learning nothing! Great tour!

Bingham Copper Mine tour - Our guide knew a lot of interesting facts about the mine. It was amazing to see the mine from up high. I really enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it if you’re in Salt Lake City.

Worlds biggest copper mine - The tour van picked us up at the Radisson hotel in downtown about 10 minutes before 1:00. It was clean and new. The tour guide was a retired high school science teacher, very friendly and knowledgeable about the copper mine and good at explaining technical things in a nontechnical way. The drive to the copper mine had beautiful views of the mountains and it felt great to get out of the city and be up in the mountains. The copper mine is thousands of feet above the city so it was maybe 15 degrees colder. There was still a lot of snow in the mountains. There is a small gift shop with some copper souvenirs. Not really any food to purchase. We saw deer on the way there and some antelope on the way back. Another couple on the tour said they saw more antelope today going to the copper mine than they did going to Antelope Island yesterday. I think this is the best thing to do if you want to get out of the city and see the mountains. We were originally trying to decide between this tour or the Antelope Island and after talking to the couple on the tour who went yesterday they said we made the right choice because there’s not much to see on Antelope’s Island and the biting bugs were awful. They agreed the copper mine is much more unique and memorable. The tour guide really helped a lot otherwise we wouldn’t know most of what we were looking at.

Sad - Our trip was canceled because of inclement weather. But the good thing was we were refunded.
We were really looking forward to seeing the copper mine.

our trip was cancelled... - our trip was cancelled due to weather. However we were not aware of that until the driver pulled up to the gate and there was a sign that said "closed". It is unfortunate that the mine can't communicate to the travel company that they were closing. It wasted everyone's time. Our tour guide/driver was a delight and she was fabulous. I would more than likely try and go again if in that area again but was disappointed it was cancelled and the mine didn't give notice.

Not worth the money - We found out that you can just drive to the copper mine and take the shuttle for $6.00 per person. The information provided during the ride there was predominantly available on site in the form of signs. Save yourself a hundred plus dollars per person and drive there. The mine itself is very cool but I would not recommend the guided tour at all!!!

Scandal - Scandalous. Tour operator changed pickup time with no informing us about this. It was impossible to call to tour operator, the while day …
