Amazing! - There were 7 ships in Costa Maya when we were there and if you’ve been there, you know that’s never good. This excursion took us to a secluded beach which was beautiful! It wasn’t crowded and the drinks were amazing. There was an open bar and the drinks were great too. The food was SO GOOD! We can’t wait to go home and make salsa and guac. We also got a massage (not included)

Great fun & great value! - Jacqui welcomed us into her tent on the beach and we had a great hour with her making salsa and guacamole with homemade tortilla chips and fresh warm tortillas. We loved her stories about living in Mahahual and being a female small business owner. We salsa'ed to great music on the beach! We walked & shopped on the "boardwalk" & didn't use the beach.

Guac-Amazing & Marg-ariffic! - Jackie is AWESOME. She adds the personal touch that you don't get from so many of the Cruise excursions. Best excursion on Costa Maya. Get off the boat, out of port and have the best Guac & Tamarind Marg ever!

Learning was delicious! Beautiful beach included! - Highly recommend! Easy walk to Catrina restaurant from the port. Host talked about the town's history while she guided us on making guacamole, roasted salsa and peanut salsa. Served us the most amazing margaritas! And al pastor tacos. Then frozen tamarind and Hibiscus margaritas. It was all so incredibly delicious! She then called us a taxi (included in price) to head to the beach. It was a small restaurant with modest restrooms on a beautiful beach. We had a few drinks (included in price) and enjoyed the sun and water. We also paid $25 ea for a massage on the beach. When we decided to leave they escorted us to taxis and got us a driver. We paid $4/pp to return to port. We loved it all so much, we'll go back again!

Costa Maya Salsa Y No Salsa! - We had a wonderful time making salsa and guacamole from the fresh ingredients provided! Macarena was very informative and fun and shared stories about her life in Costa Maya which made it more personal. The power was out so I think the location was changed for the cooking. We were taken to the beach from the cooking session where we decided to just lay on the beach rather than take the Salsa dance lessons. They were very accommodating and wanted us to have a relaxing time. Arranged for a taxi to get us back to the pier. I would do it again!

Worms snd crickets - The salsa and guacamole demonstration was interesting and fun. Open bar was a plus. Sampling of mezcal with salt made from worms, and the dried crickets for a chaser was a unique experience. The beach area was OK. The salsa dance lesson was not well done. I don’t think they were prepared to teach us.
