Best tour I have ever been on - I did the Salkantay Trek and it was amazing. Eddie our guide was amazing, very very knowledgeable and very carrying, he would go it of his way to ensure we were all comfortable. The food was amazing and blew my expectations. Would highly recommend to any one interested in doing tours from Cusco.

Perfect for solo travelers! - It was my first trek and I don't regret booking with Marvelous. Adrian was our guide during these 5 days and participated in making this adventure an unforgettable memory. He knows the history of Peru very well, is not lacking in humor and has made it possible to create a bond in the group. I definitely recommend this trek for solo travelers looking for a secure setting, a competent guide and an all-in-one package (overnight stay, meals, activities).

Fantastic and thrilling experience - This week we did the Salkantay Machu picchu jungle trail with this organization and it was awesome. The food was very good and the activities (mountainbiking, hiking, rafting and more) were all thrilling and done by professionals! I also wanted to thank Tony Montaña because he was an awesome guide. He was a reliable guide, told us everything about Inca history, gave us very clear instructions and tips on the hikes and made the tour a lot more fun. The price is also very affordable. Tip: - Only bring what you really need for those days (every kilogram counts) and dont forget toilet paper

Amazing trek through diverse landscapes - The Salkantay trek was one of the best experiences in my life. Every day was completely different and I could discover a lot of diverse landscapes. Also the accommodations had incredible views. Of course it was challenging, especially because of the altitude. But it was worth it and you can be really proud of you afterwards. We were a small group of 5 people. Our tour guide Tony was great: humorous, helpful, experienced and motivating. All the time I felt safe and well taken care of. I can highly recommend this trek to Machu Picchu.

The best way to get to Machu Picchu - Actually I haven’t tried any other way but this was an amazing and rewarding way to get to Machu Picchu. The first two days are relatively tough as you hike up to the beautiful laguna Humantay, and then Salkantay pass - the highest point of the trek at over 4,600m above sea level. The breathtaking snowy mountain views are definitely worth the effort. The rest of the trek is mostly flat/downhill as you descend into the valleys and jungles, with more incredible views and lush vegetation. I’d recommend bringing enough clothing to suit cold and warm climates - the first night you sleep essentially outdoors (in a glass igloo) at around 4,000m above sea level and then start trekking at 5am the next day - it’s cold. Once the sun comes out though it’s a really nice temperature. You will then get pretty warm as the day goes on so layers that you can easily remove are ideal. Also bring something to swim in - the trip to the thermal springs on the third afternoon is a really nice way to relax. Also you should bring plenty of cash - there are no ATMs until you reach Aguas Calientes on the fourth night, but there are plenty of things you might want to buy along the way, such as snacks, water (there’s plenty of water for sale at checkpoints along the route), toilets, souvenirs, fresh local fruit once you descend into the valleys (make sure to try some delicious granadillas). Finally I need to give a shout-out to two people who helped to make the trek such a great experience: Thony - our guide who is very knowledgeable and relatable, hilarious, speaks multiple languages very well and became a genuinely good friend by the end of the trip. Jesus - our chef who provided delicious meal after delicious meal for four days. The food was truly impressive for a trek like this. 10/10 - highly recommend

The most magical experience - The five day Salkantay Trek was a magical experience. The views, scenery and nature was beyond anything I could have imagined. Our tour guide Walter was the BEST. Always presented a clear agenda for the next day, made sure everyone was OK during the hikes - no matter if you are a fast or slow walker. Very informative about Peruvian culture as well. Good vegetarian options! I highly recommend this activity and company.

Walter is the best tour guide, especially for this trek. - Walter was such an amazing tour guide. He provided us with as much insight on both the Peruvian and Inca culture. At MP, he gave my partner and I a solo tour because of our tickets being early. I would recommend him as a tour guide any day. Walter made the effort to talk to everyone on the trip and even after dinner he played cards with the rest of the group! Along the way, he would stop and share with the group about the different biodiversity in the environment. The logistics of the company were a bit all over the place, it seemed like everyone paid different prices and were told different things. This being said, Walter was very flexible and reliable throughout the whole trip.

Great experience with a great guide - Booked through Marvelous and had an amazing time. Everything was well planned, the food was delicious (thank you Walberto) and our guide Eduardo could not be replaced by anyone. He made us feel safe, gave good and thorough explanations and was part of the group. Thank you Eddy!

Amazing 5 day salkantay trek - That 5 day salkantay trek was amazing it was really beautiful the hole way, from the snow mountains to the jungle and of course Machu Picchu. My tour guide Hans from marvolus company was really good. He would always give us new information about where we are and the history of the Incas. I could always ask him questions and was always around if needed help with anything.

10/10 Guide with a lacklustre support staff - Walter our guide was top notch, very genuine individual. Did not feel like he was trying to sell us anything, and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Book your trek in person, it will be cheaper than online. Only negative was dealing with the boss, and a general lack of organization he brought to the experience. If you don’t mind a little bit of a headache on the logistics end I would recommend doing this.
