Perfect way to explore the Algarve caves and cliffs - Great way to see the beautiful Algarve caves and cliffs from the water. Our tour guide was fun and informative with lots of facts along the way, and the group was small unlike some other tours along the coast. Loved this experience. Highly recommended!

Great kayaking trip! - Despite very windy conditions, we had the best morning kayaking along the coast with our guide Joerg. Our tour ended up just being our family of 4 which made it even better. The caves are amazing and the paddling was not hard at all. We have a 13 year old and a 16 year old and they managed fine in double kayaks with us. It was comforting to know there was boat we could get on if we ever got too tired which we didn’t. The tour leaves from Salema beach - very easy if you are staying within walking distance of the beach.

Company canceled on us with inadequate notice. - We were notified of cancellation 1 hour before we were ready to drive to Salema. Cancellation was because there were only two of us for the tour. We have had many 2 person tours that other companies honored despite the lack of turn out. Due to the late notification, we were unable to book anything else. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Avoid - Unfortunately zero stars is not an option as that would be the appropriate score. We booked our tour online through Salema Tours’ website. The tour was for 1PM. The website would not permit full payment, only a deposit. Per instructions we arrived 15 minutes early. The front desk had a notebook that did not contain our reservation. When they looked online they saw our reservation and told us they had not checked online reservations so they did not know we were coming. Because of this they changed the time to 2PM to accommodate the request of another group. We waited for an hour. When we went back to the desk. I went through the same conversation about our reservation with the added difficulty that they said our tour was for 1PM. Once we got that all sorted they told us we needed to pay the balance in cash. Since there was no indication on the website that they accepted only cash, we had to cancel. They gave us some pushback on a refund but I was insistent and they, after much protest, provided the refund. We cannot rate the actual tour since it didn’t happen but I advise not using this group as they are disorganized, incompetent and rude.
