Very historical with a few good laughs - The gentleman who was running the tour was very knowledgable about history. He included some pieces that our other tour did not mention that were historically accurate, all while being very entertaining and funny. We left the group early because the others in the group weren't respectful and it was hard to listen and pay attention with so much distraction and noise- but he was wonderful as far as we were concerned. I would suggest doing the tour in the early morning- once Essex street is popping off there's so much noise and difficulty to hear and stay with the group. Please don't bring your very young children on these tours. They don't care or understand what is being said, will cause immemse disruption, and are really just overall destroying the experience for others. Please also be respectful of both the tour guide and the others who paid money as well. We felt terrible to leave but wanted to leave a review so the guide doesn't feel as though he had anything to do with it.

Excellent, engaging tour! - We visited on a beautiful September day and the city is starting to get crowded but it’s not yet at full October peak! Our tour guide Jeffrey was entertaining and funny but also respectful of the history and had some wisdom to impart about the implications for our current society. This was an excellent, easy to keep up with tour, easy to hear and understand, and the time flew by. Would absolutely recommend!

First visit to Salem - Tour was ok. He was very knowledgeable, but at times I found myself confused and I consider myself a fairly smart person. I thought we would visit and go into the places being discussed which would have made it easier to understand maybe? Would have also preferred to see the witch house as it is pictured on the tour.

There’s a lot of standing... - There’s a lot of standing in place and not a lot of walking. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and animated. The standing in one place may be difficult on the back for older tourists.

Disappointed - Never got to go on this tour that I was so looking forward to as we were able to drive from the Cape to Salem. I thought we were close enough to Salem to be able to at least have this tour. But the traffic around Boston was unbearable (at one point 23 mins. In 1 hr). We arrived in Salem exactly at 3pm but there was no where to park after circling and searching many streets near the tour site. Roads were blocked off so many this is normal for Sat. But I am very disappointed to miss this tour, wasted $ on the reservation made on the day we could drive up.. plus 5 hours in the car on a beautiful day!
