Be Sure To Visit the C-47 Building - My wife and I are both veterans, and I am a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division. We are drawn to military history sights and with the 80th anniversary of D-Day imminent, we decided it was about time to visit some significant WWII-related historical sites in Normandy. We were both impressed with how modern and well developed this attraction was. Individuals are free to wander probably two acres of buildings with vintage military equipment relating to the Battle of Normandy. My particular favorite was the C-47 building, where visitors walk down a mock-up of the fuselage of C-47 transport aircraft of the type that 82nd and 101st Airborne dropped from on the day before D-Day. The experience is heightened by a sound track of the sounds of the aircraft’s engines, and vibrations through the floor like one would hear and feel on a parachute mission. There is also a well-appointed gift shop with all kinds of souvenirs.

Organization to review. - More than half an hour in line for the checkout staff to ignore us for more than 10 minutes to put the tablets back on the racks. We gave up. Good luck welcoming 100,000 visitors for the 80th anniversary!
