- St. Paul de Mausole - The monastery is best known for the fact that Vincent van Gogh stayed here from May 1889 to May 1890. A masterpiece of Provencal Romanesque art, the 11th -12th Century cloister backs onto the chapel, in pure Romanesque style, with a façade altered in the 18th Century.

Perched precariously on an old rocky cliff is Les Baux de Provence, a fortified hilltop village that ranks among Provence’s most visited. It’s clear to see why this village is so popular - narrow cobblestone streets and old houses lead up to a wrecked castle. Here, the Baux dynasty once held command from the 9th century until 1426 when it merged with Provence before becoming part of France in 1481. The locals attempted to resist this unification, sparking King Louis XI to pull down the castle. Our tour will cover both the village and castle. Onto Carrières de Lumières - previously the 19th-century Les Grand Fonds quarry. In 2019, it displayed artwork by Vincent Van Gogh across 7,000 m² of the Carrières. This audio-visual presentation takes you through the artist’s passionate life during which he created over 2,000 pieces of work in his final years. Stroll through the ancient streets of Saint Rémy de Provence, which houses historical structures and is situated on one of Europe’s oldest archaeology sites.
