Great experience. - Very friendly, knowledgeable and flexible tour guides. They incorporated lots of bathroom breaks and they kept you at all times informed on what the agenda for the tour was.

Great place - There is so much to see and there are spots you can pull over to admire the view as well as tales some trails. There is an admission charge.

Great but - Tour and guide were great. The only thing wrong was our cruise ship docked at 2:30p. Only had about 3 hours of daylight.

Nice little diversion trip. - This would have been a 5 but the weather socked in. Having said that, after Hopewell Rocks, drive down to the little town of Alma. There is a Fantastic Mom and Pop sized restaurant serving fish and chips on the high side of the street. Nice little bakery as well across the street. The cookies were killer good. Just Do It! Great little break in the routine.

The reversing falls fail - Our boat trip from the cruise dock to the reversing falls got canceled so we took a cab. The water in the inlet was moving and pushing the water up the river, but not that impressive. Took a walk around downtown which is near the cruise dock; OK but not great. We liked Halifax waterfront much better.

Beautiful coastal scenery - The scenery was impressive and the new Parkway is a great addition to the area. We cycled it on our e bikes, swooping up and down the hilly road. There’s a trail alongside it that can be walked or cycled but if you want to cycle it, you need strong legs, a mountain type bike and good shocks because its not a rough uneven path in many places. We stayed one night at the little inn, Bay Baie, in St. Martin’s. It is newly renovated. Adequate but not all that appealing. Clean, the very minimum of furniture and soft furnishings, and the free breakfast was rather odd. In a very small lounge upstairs. No regular tables and chairs. Perch on the sofa with a plate on your lap. The croissants were frozen, ice cold, and when we tried to use more than one appliance at the same time, a fuse would trip and the poor manager would have to come upstairs and reset it. You can wait and pay for a chic brunch in the restaurant downstairs but that is not convenient if you want to make an early start to explore the area or on the next leg of your trip.

A complete bust... - We we booked this as an excursion off our cruise. First, when we arrived at the port, the cruise operator (Wow A) was nowhere to be found. I tried calling them and Viator however Wow A is in the UK and were unreachable. It turns out that they "sold" or "subcontracted" our reservation to another company without advising either us, Viator or the new tour company (Hugo Tours). I found out only by accident when I tried to see if another tour had room and would take us. This is completely unacceptable. Second, the tour operator knew that our ship was docking in the afternoon (as well as at the beginning of off-season) and still booked the tour even though we would be unable to see a number of the sites promised.. (One of our stops required us to drive over 1/2 an hour each way only to get to a beach basically in the dark and being told that there were caves which we couldn't see or go to at this point). Our group ended up ending the tour about an hour early since there was nothing we could see in the dark and the tour guides weren't even sure if some of the places were going to be open. I'd like to make it clear that our guides (Hans and Chris) were great in that they really tried to find places for us to go and see... It was not their fault that they were put in this situation and I do give them credit... The problem lies completely with the tour companies.

Don’t Waste Your Money - This tour was the biggest fiasco we have ever encountered booking trips through Trip Advisor. We never received tickets or any other information after we booked and they charged our card, and had to make 3 international calls to London in order to ‘contact the local tour company’ (that’s the only number that was given for the local tour provider). We spent 45 minutes searching for the tour once we disembarked, which we assumed was a smaller tour due to the price. After several calls and messages to any number we could find, we received a call that said they were waiting for us-only to find out it was a tour on a large city bus!! The company charges a high fee then rents a city bus for the tour. The only reason this received any stars at all is because the tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and we liked the bus driver.
