Excursions in Kenya with Patrick - I just returned from a trip to Kenya. I stayed with a friend at Crisral Bay in Watamu and we organized all the excursions including the two-day and one-night safari to Tsavo East with Patrick, a local boy. from the sea to the savannah - for me Kenya is like "aspirin", it makes all illnesses go away and I have known the Watamu area since 2008, so I wasn't expecting any big news. Even with these assumptions we returned once again to Garoda in Watamu. The village is the best you can find in the place; outside the chaos of the town, in silence and quiet and with a beach that can be defined as the best ever, good treatment, decent cuisine, within its limits, very discreet entertainment, cleanliness and safety. To get around there was always the excellent tuktuk service of Abuu (tel +254728041518) always punctual and available and who organized a 3 day / 2 night safari tour with the best driver-guide in the world, Mohamed. We visited Tzavo East for the umpteenth time and, this time, also Taita. Unfortunately, the rains of the previous period created very lush vegetation which, with the tall grass, prevented us from seeing many animals that could be hiding or that were very distant, lacking the need to get close to the waterholes. However, beyond the confirmation of the Tzavo east, the Taita park is very beautiful from a nature point of view but a little monotonous, having the same vegetation everywhere. Worth visiting but... once! Will we return to Kenya? Certainly ! emotions will not be lacking!!!!
