Sin Chai Village - Cat Cat - Y Linh Ho
Terraced Rice Fields in Sin Chai Village - Begin your delightful journey by driving to Sin Chai village, a serene and picturesque location nestled at the base of the Hoang Lien mountain range, home to the Black Hmong ethnic community. From here, embark on a trek uphill. Upon reaching the summit, continue your trek downhill to Cat Cat village, a charming valley just 3 kilometers from Sapa town.
Upon arrival, start your trek to a nearby waterfall, enjoying the breathtaking landscape and fresh air along the way.
Take a short break and enjoy a pleasant picnic lunch.
Y Linh Ho - After the morning adventure, continue in the afternoon by trekking through the mountains on a different trail to Y Linh Ho village, where the Black Hmong people reside. Be aware that the trail can be slippery during the rainy season from Cat Cat to Y Linh Ho. Here, you can observe and learn about the fascinating daily life and activities of these ethnic minority people.
Spend the night in the village, staying with a local family.

Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai – Tavan
Lao Chai - On day 2, after breakfast, continue your trekking adventure along the Hoang Lien mountain range. The stunning views of the expansive rice terraces in Muong Hoa valley, the largest in Sapa, will leave you in awe. Keep your camera ready to capture these incredible scenes.
Pause for a delightful picnic lunch at a scenic spot.
After lunch, continue the tour by descending to the valley floor.
Along the way, visit Lao Chai village, home to the Black Hmong people, and Tavan village, where the Giay ethnic minority resides. Explore these villages to learn about their traditional customs and daily activities.
Spend the night in a traditional Giay house in Tavan village. Here, you can either explore the village to appreciate the valley’s beauty or enjoy a refreshing swim in a nearby river.
Tavan - Seomity
Sapa - After breakfast, embark on the third day’s trekking adventure, which is mostly uphill until lunchtime. Enjoy the stunning valley views whenever you pause for a rest. Keep your camera handy to capture these fantastic images.
Before noon, stop for lunch at a pleasant spot.
After lunch and a short rest, begin the afternoon program. The trekking becomes easier in the afternoon, with even more beautiful scenery. Pass by Seomity village, inhabited by the Black Hmong ethnic minority, before reaching a campsite near a river outside the village. While porters set up tents and prepare dinner, take a walk to stretch your legs and relax.
Seomity – Den Thang - Ta Trung Ho
Sapa - From Seomity village, start your trek on a small trail through a rainforest.
By noon, arrive at Den Thang village, home to the Black Hmong people. Stop for lunch, choosing a spot by the river or in a local school, depending on the weather.
After lunch and a short break, continue trekking on a more challenging route with narrow footpaths. Stay attentive to ensure safety.
Reach Ta Trung Ho village, where the Red Dao ethnic minority resides. Spend time exploring the village, interacting with the locals, and enjoying their hospitality. Spend the night in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Red Dao people.
Ta Trung Ho - Nam Toong – My Son – Thanh Phu
Sapa - On day 5, enjoy an early breakfast at Ta Trung Ho village before embarking on another trekking adventure. Start from the edge of the rainforest by the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. Notably, Fansipan, known as the roof of Indochina at 3140m, is located on this mountain range.
Trek uphill to Nam Toong village, home to the Red Dao ethnic minority. The locals will guide you around the village. Lunch will be prepared and served in a local school.
Sapa - After lunch, continue the afternoon program by trekking downhill to the valley where My Son village of the Xa Pho minority is located. This is one of the smallest ethnic groups in Northern Vietnam.
After leaving this village, walk to Thanh Phu village, inhabited by the Tay ethnic people. Spend the night in a traditional Tay house. Explore the village, observe the locals’ daily activities, and enjoy a delicious meal featuring typical Vietnamese dishes.
The day 5 program concludes.
Thanh Phu - Nam Cum – Sin Chai
Sapa - Follow a trail at the valley’s base, enjoying the most spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
Find a pleasant spot to stop for lunch.
After lunch, begin the afternoon program by walking towards Sin Chai village, where the Red Dao ethnic minority group resides.
Upon arrival, spend time exploring the village, observing, participating in, and learning about the locals’ daily activities.
Sin Chai - Nam Ket –Ben Den – Lao Cai
Terraced Rice Fields in Sin Chai Village - Once ready, depart Sin Chai for an adventure through the stunning mountainous area and the most remote part of Sapa.
Along the way, enjoy the natural beauty of mountains, bamboo forests, and jungles, and interact with curious children. Most residents here are from the Red Dao ethnic minority.
Stop at Nam Ket for lunch.
Sapa - After lunch and a short rest, trek downhill for half an hour to reach a green valley along the Red River. Enjoy one of the most magnificent views of the stunning natural landscape. Keep your camera ready to capture these beautiful images.
Finally, arrive at Ta Thang village, home to the Tay ethnic minority. Upon arrival, a driver will welcome you and drive you back to Lao Cai station, where you will catch a train back to Hanoi. The tour concludes.
