Highlights

Sa Pa

Hang Da Village - At 9 am, your guide from Trekkingtoursapa will greet you at your Sapa accommodation or outside the main church of Sapa. Following a brief orientation, embark on a 1km ascent via a narrow path to witness the panoramic views of Fansipan mountain, the tallest in Indochina at 3,143 meters, and the entirety of Sapa town. This vantage point also offers a glimpse of Vietnam’s most expansive rice terraces in the Muong Hoa valley, along with the region’s most prominent river and valley. After soaking in the stunning vistas, the journey continues downhill to Hang Da, home to the Black Hmong ethnic group. The excursion provides an opportunity to observe local wildlife, including buffaloes, goats, and pigs. A quaint family-run eatery will serve as our lunch spot.

Hau Thao - Post-lunch, we’ll proceed along a minor trail descending to Hau Thao, another Black Hmong village. Witness the villagers’ everyday activities and, depending on the season, you might observe them working in the fields, either harvesting or sowing rice. A hospitable Black Hmong family will host us at their homestay in Hau Thao village.

Hau Thao

Muong Hoa Valley - Following a delightful breakfast at the homestay, we’ll set out on the day’s trek. Departing from the homestay, we’ll trek towards Su Pan, a hamlet nestled near the Black Hmong mountain range. This location offers a splendid opportunity to capture the sweeping views of the rice paddies. The inhabitants of this area reside in modest, traditional dwellings and lead lives that are deeply connected to nature.

Amazing trek in beautiful Sa Pa - The trek was great and really well organised. Company is very professional and communication was easy. I went as a solo traveler and found it easy to join a group tour with one other person. Our route took us out into less touristy areas where we could immerse ourselves in beautiful nature and travel through villages. Our guide Sang was amazing, sharing her knowledge and experiences of local h’mong culture with excellent English. Always friendly and funny, she really made the trip special.

Beautiful trek for the while family. - Ley was an excellent guide, very friendly and knew all about the different cultures across the villages. The countryside was beautiful, I especially loved the bamboo forests. The homestay accommodation was excellent. Very friendly hosts and we enjoyed a delicious dinner and shared ‘happy water’! It was very clean and welcoming.

Off the beaten track authentic local experience around Sapa - Lots of options to choose from. Responsive agency using what’s app to patiently answer all my queries . Spectacular views from the mountain and authentic experiences. 1st day, we trekked 18 km and climbed the equivalent of 94 stories. 2nd day, we did 13 km and climbed about 56 km. Our guide Sang , spoke English very well and gave us a lot of insights to Hmong culture , types of plants and herbs. Highly recommend this agency - they hire Hmong locals who are very experienced.

Incredible Trek - I had a amazing time trekking with my guide Giao. She was very insightful, friendly and easy to talk to. I had the chance to meet her sweet husband and cute 3 month old son. I went with the 2 day mountain trek and it did not disappoint. Though cloudy/rainy at times, the views were incredible, saw locals harvesting rice, learned about crops being grown and saw many farm animals along the way. I had the local experience, eating with some guides and “helping” in the kitchen at the homestay. Overall it was a tough and long trek but manageable for myself. I’d recommend if you’re in good shape, have hiked before not afraid to get dirty.

Exactly the experience i was looking for - I dont care too much about the city and all the hotels and attractions. I like to hike in the nature and mountains off the touristic area. Maybe i cannot visit Sapa again for many years, so i had to increase the chance to get a nice trekking tour. I had a lot of questions to choose the right tour and Mau and My from the office answered all of them patiently. The tour itself was guided by Sang. She is very friendly and i like how happy she was, when she explained something about the countryside or the culture of the minorities. It was a very nice two day tour with trails and technical sections and also paved roads. We have been far off the touristic area. On the second day i only saw other tourists at the homestay and the area close to it. Thank you for the nice tour, i really enjoyed it :)
