Very surprised how nice this was! - Back in the UK, I'm not particularly fond of a lot of Jacob creeks wines that we have on offer "off the shelf" and for that reason have avoided visiting past years. However this year we wanted to try something different and gave it a try. I'm very glad we did. The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are great and family friendly, the staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable, and to top it off, I didn't try a single wine I didn't like! They were all very good wines and it took me by surprise. Would definitely recommend anyone to visit and try the wines.

Blissful & Relaxing. - This experience began with wine tasting so that we could then choose our own wine for the picnic & our host was Lauren. She was friendly, knowledgable & listened to our likes & dislikes eventually guiding us toward choosing a most divine grenache. The picnic bag also included a rug, water, a food pack & a map of walking trails so we could choose our own picnic spot. We chose to get away from the cellar door & find a quiet spot by Jacob's Creek itself. Absolutely perfect spot. We couldn't help but relax & soak in the quiet, the bird life & the croak of resident frogs. The food pack consisted of cheese, quince paste, pate, crackers, & dried fruit. It was all delicious, but in my opinion could have done with half the quantity of cheese & the addition of something fresh (fruit or vege). As we were in the Barossa for the weekend & this was our day two, we'd already had pretty much the same lunch the day before (at maggie beer's farmshop) & our accomodation had generously provided cheese & crackers, so by this time we were a little cheesed out! This is no one's fault & GREAT that local products are celebrated & promoted. I share this so that viewers are aware & can pace themselves accordingly. Our experience with Jacobs Creek was excellent & we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We also appreciated terrific & helpful staff.
